there is 0 room on the team for a guy like Turpin who was charged with assult with bodily harm to a family member and subsequently kicked of TCU's team not mention ive seen bigger bowel movement then him as hes 5 foot 8 maybe 160 pounds soaking wet.

I know nothing of any of the players’ legal histories. So if there’s any players with legal trouble on any of my boards, it’s safe to say that I just didn’t know about it. But also given Dave’s comment about Dede, I honestly don’t think the staff cares about domestic violence in any way that would satisfy my care towards the issue.

As for his size and play style, he’s a guy you’d use to replace the Corey Grant role. Obviously he’s smaller and a different position, but you put a little mass on him and he’s the guy that they use for the Ace Sanders/Denard Robinson/Corey Grant role that they always seem to want on the team, at the low cost they typically spend on those types.

The whole mock was done under the pretense that a stopgap QB was brought in (there’s a handful going to be out there), Dareus and Parnell were released, and we didn’t bring back Yeldon or Grant. Everything was really done as if Dave was just fixing the obvious holes and not worrying about a backup plan, as is always the case with him. Even the Risner pick was done with the expectation that Cann probably isn’t back.

Unless they get Grant back for cheap because of the injury, I expect them to target some under sized gadget speedster at either WR or RB. Maybe there’s value in UDFA or a cheap free agent to be had, but talent-wise Turpin seems like the type of value pick they’d try to make there. The 6th round picks we bring in are typically guys with one major flaw to their game that the staff thinks they can make something work with around that. A largely undersized guy seems like it fits with the MO we have for 6th rounders with a big flaw that they think they can work around.

Skill guys that small dont work in the NFL.  its pretty much a proven fact at this point.  Holliday is probably the smallest guy recently and he was just a Return specialist.  if u wanna gamble on a athletic gadget guy check out Tony Pollard WR/RB/KR from Memphis.

https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/tony-pollard-1.html  for his Stats

http://www.draftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=1019193&draftyear=2020&genpos=wr for the projected measurables.  not to small not to big just right.

You can say this and that’s fine, but like I said, the team takes guys with massive flaws to their game in the late rounds often.

He would also be no smaller than J.J. Nelson, who had 500 yards each of the last two seasons.

I also want to note I’m not defending the pick as good, more so noting that this is the type of pick they would make whether it’s a good pick or not.

I mean...you get Ed Oliver at pick 9, you can pretty comfortably just mail in the rest of the draft and still win.

But Lock, much as i don't like him...in the 3rd round, yeah i'll take that gamble.  And Mitch Hyatt too.  That's a heck of a 3rd round.

While getting Oliver would be a huge get in not sure I don't like not addressing a bigger need like ot. That pick would also kinda make Bryan obsolete for us as he is much much better at 3 tech then our big end role.

I'm also unsure about taking a true edge there but at the same token I feel he's close to bpa and a minor need(sorry but I don't think McCray is our backup quality that can be a decent starter plus we need to ensure we have a legit edge rush should we do something dumb and let ngakoue walk.

I think Ivey fits more towards the size we like based on weight but at that point we still need a potential rt and s ome ol depth.

Round 1 Pick 9: Oliver, Ed, DT, Houston (A) could have went with Devin White ILB LSU but i feel Coughlin would choose a trench guy over a MLB.
Round 2 Pick 9: Adams, Trey, OT, Washington (A) potential LT with the worse case being a RT.
Round 3 Pick 8: Thorson, Clayton, QB, Northwestern (A+) QB of Future?
Round 3 Pick 31: Risner, Dalton, C, Kansas State (A+) OL depth. potential starting g
Round 4 Pick 9: Ivey, Martez, OT, Florida (A-) OL depth. potential starting G/rt
Round 6 Pick 9: Kaufusi, Corbin, DE, Brigham Young (A+) potential replacement for Calias campbell(allowing bryan to be more of a DT.
Round 7 Pick 18: Davis III, Felton, WR, Michigan State (A+) WR depth

Oliver falling to 9 won't happen but it makes for an interesting scenario. Its not even close to a top need but how do you pass that up?

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 9: Williams, Greedy, CB, LSU (A-) CB Insurance. ramsey may or may not stay at this point(he seems upset about the trade of fowler) and while it would be nice to keep Ramsey and Bouye together i dont think our cap situation will allow that.
Round 2 Pick 9: Fant, Noah, TE, Iowa (B+) Starting TE
Round 3 Pick 8: Lock, Drew, QB, Missouri (A+) Potential QB of Future
Round 3 Pick 31: Deiter, Michael, OT, Wisconsin (A+) Potential Starting G/RT
Round 4 Pick 9: Risner, Dalton, C, Kansas State (A+) Potential RT/G/C. we need OL depth anyways
Round 6 Pick 9: Kaufusi, Corbin, DE, Brigham Young (A+) Campbell replacement?
Round 7 Pick 18: Davis III, Felton, WR, Michigan State (A+) bigger athletic wr

If Lock and Thorson are available in the third round, we should just trade up to take both of them.

Pretty much.  One of them's bound to work out, right?

I mean, actually speaking...that would probably be terrible.  Not gonna get enough reps to go around and have both guys really learning and developing...but we need a QB, and the value of those guys in the 3rd is good.

I fully support drafting Olive Sagapolu, primarily because it sounds like some sort of delicious Mediterranean dish.
