Thelonebillsfan
Good BP piece for the playoffs, his splitter should play well out of the pen.
Leader
I dont now anything about Beeks but based on this........ The 24-year-old Beeks, the Red Sox’s 15th-best prospect according to MLB.com, made his MLB debut this year. In Triple-A Pawtucket, he had a 2.89 ERA in 16 starts. ....I sure hope the Sox threw a bag of baseballs and a case of baked beans into the transaction 15th best for Eovaldi? Damn. Apparition
Eovaldi's 0.98 WHIP is pretty damn impressive, but then I see that he's given up 11 HR in 10 starts and wonder if this is the best move for a team that plays its home games in a shoebox to make. Beeks has made a couple of appearances (1 start) at the major league level and looks nowhere near ready. He's been solid in the minors, though. playmaker8267
I'm very meh on this trade. If nothing else, Eovaldi can eat innings and possibly be a long man in the playoffs. I just can very easily see the Rays turning Beeks into a useful pitcher for years to come.
