Huh? • We saved $5.6 million on the cap this year. • we save $8.6 million next offseason • and we save $9.6 million in 2020 and then we could get out of the deal. Cousin’s 3 year contract is guaranteed, Alex’s isn’t. The saved $8.6 to 9.6 million which gives us more money to re-sign Scherff and/or Crowder and PSmith. We had to pay to replace Fuller with Scandrick, who cost us about $1.9 mil more this season than Fuller. So at most the savings this year was $3.7 mil. Yay? Also the Redskins currently have over $13 mil in cap space, so we didn't even spend it all. Again, Yay? Also Kirk Cousins is 4-5 years younger than Alex Smith, he's likely still on an upward trend, while Smith entering his 14th season will likely see regression soon. Yay?
