4 Fantasy Football Questions: Please Help

Hello Bears Fans,

I am going forum to forum to ask 3 questions and also looking for any information/insight you have to offer about your beloved team and will have each thread linked in the fantasy football forum as a way for everyone to help everyone(ET already cleared me doing this)

1. Allen Robinson is your big prized FA #1 WR and while he is coming off an injury he has some serious skills. Will Trubisky take enough strides to make A-Rob snag 1100-8?

2. Jordan Howard seems to be undervalued alot, is that a serious concern? Considering he is projected for under 260 touches despite his youth and talent is it a pipe dream to expect over 1200 combined yards and 7-8 TDs?

3. Mitch Trubisky had an average rookie season albeit with little at his disposal. Now everyone is expecting big leaps from him. Statistically what do you expect from him?

4. Who are the over/underrated fantasy players you would like to call out and what do you expect of them statistically? How about Trey Burton specifically?

1. Robinson I expect to break the 1000 yard barrier but not by much...it's clear we are going to spread the ball around in this offence and as much as he will be the go to guy I expect his catches to go down and average to go up from the 12.1YPC towards the 17.5YPC of 2015.

2. The fear around Howard IMO is overblown...Hunt had 272 carries last season and as a pure runner I would say Howard is better...yes he will be out the game more than Hunt due to Cohen but I would easily expect Howard to match if not surpass that 4.9 YPC from Hunt last season since he won't be seeing constant 8 man boxes.

3. The million dollar question...it's hard to predict what Mitch will do this season...maybe something around 2,800-3,200 with 20-23 TDs and 10-13 INTs...I think that is realistic for a 2nd year guy in a brand new scheme.

4. I think Burton is the obvious candidate...Cohen as well tho.

My two cents...

1. I think as long as ARob can stay healthy and on the field we can expect him to have anywhere around 60-80 receptions and 800-1200 yds. with 6-8 TDs.

2. Howard is severely undervalued and no it's not a concern.  I also don't believe it's a pipe dream considering last season he faced steady 8 man boxes and still managed to finish with over 1100 yards and 9 TDs.   With so many threats in the passing game now it's only going to be easier for him to find those running lanes, plus there's no one else on the roster who can really handle a 3-down workload like Howard can.  He's also been working on improving his hands this offseason which should help him stay on the field more on passing downs.  Lastly, he will be highly motivated to perform this season as he will be looking to cash in on a new contract soon.  Probably my favorite fantasy option on the Bears.

3.  I think people are putting too much pressure on this kid already to do big things in 2018 like we saw with Goff last year. I'd pump the brakes a little bit on him meeting those expectations as he's still fairly raw, but it's not outrageous to think that he should finish with around 3000-3300 yds, 18-22 TDs and 10-12 INTs.  That'd be my best guess.

4.  I think one of the Bears more underrated fantasy players will be WR Anthony Miller.  He has been absolutely killing it this offseason and has the route running and hand catching ability that usually translates to success early.

Overrated, and I hate to say this, but probably Tarik Cohen.  Not that I don't think he will be explosive and make plays this year, but I don't think he will get as many touches as people would want in a starting caliber fantasy football player.

Burton should be a reliable fantasy producer after all the money they spent on him and they way they intend to use him in this offense.  I'd expect somewhere in between 600-800 yds and  6-8 TDs.

Both above gave good advice.

The only thing I would like to add is Taylor Gabriel might be a late draft stash for this year. In camp they were focusing on using him and Cohen all over the place, and he has speed for days. With Robinson, Burton, Shaheen all being guys who attack the intermediate level and Howard and Cohen getting a lot of running action, Gabriel might be a big play specialist. Plus with White's health a constant question, they might get inflated numbers due to being the gadget players for the offense. Maybe Miller will get in on the screen-game too, he has shown some explosiveness after the catch. Cohen isn't getting the lion's share of runs though, there's just no way.

Trubisky - As much as we hope for a huge jump as fans, I wouldn't draft him. To me he's one of those QBs to grab off of the waiver wire if he starts trending upward.

Howard - FantasyPros has him as the RB14 and the 24th overall player, so the last second round pick in 12 team and a third round pick in 10 team. I think that's fair. I think Cohen will eat into his workload, but he's still a high-end RB2 with RB1 upside.

Cohen - RB36 and the 94th overall player on FantasyPros. I'd be comfortable with him as my RB3 in 12 team. I have a rule never to start a 3rd RB as a FLEX, but if he's as involved in the passing game as I think he'll be I might flex him in .5 PPR and definitely in full PPR.

Allen Robinson - Honestly I have no idea. Robinson is the WR18 on FantasyPros, and I don't think that's necessarily a bad projection because I expect a pretty wide distribution of targets among the Bears offensive skill players, but I like his upside better than some of the guys ranked ahead of him (see: Demaryius Thomas, Larry Fitz with AZ's current crop of QBs).

Anthony Miller - Late-round flier in 12+ team leagues.

Trey Burton - Averages out to the TE9 on FantasyPros. I think if you can get him as the TE9, that's a steal. Greg Olsen, Delanie Walker, and Jimmy Graham could go before Burton, but I think those three guys are all over the hill. Kyle Rudolph is a worthy pick, but he's a feast or famine guy dependent on TDs. Behind Gronk and Kelce, I like Burton along with Ertz and Engram as guys who can get double-digit targets very often, can push towards double-digit receptions per game, can potentially put up 50-60 yards or more per game, and will add TDs as well.
