People were wondering why we didn't franchise tag him and make him prove it, but the deal is basically 2 franchise tags + 10 million for a 3 year option at a low cost. It really just comes down whether or not you think paying 10 million up front for lower back end base salaries is worth it (25m base salary those last three years should be quite low in consideration when new extensions for quarterbacks come up).
