And so it has begun.........

Was just gonna post this. But yeah. Arians essentially saying to everyone he may be a Buc. You’d have to think Licht pitched this to the Glazers already, but with how previous coaches used he players he acquired a HC pitch was clearly not the only reason he was retained.

As we start down the road of potentially hiring Arians, I wanted to share a couple of thoughts.

I read that Arians had kidney cancer, it would make sense he would walk away because if he was treated with chemo, we all know how that is physically draining.  Giving his body time to recuperate and no sign of the cancer returning, why should he not return to his career?

About his age.  Speaking for all old guys, which I am one, yes we are old, but we are not dead.  😀  Experience is not a bad thing.

I have read Arians if he came back would assume more of a CEO role, which the last HC certainly wasn t willing to do as part of his job. So his staff will be critical to any success.

I don t mind the idea of compensation to Arizona because the organization is relying on Arians to establish a complete culture change from losing.  I m willing to pay for that to happen.  I m okay with a 3rd rounder, any higher them I m concerned.

Interesting times, let s see how it plays out.

You’re older than I thought!

I expect it’ll be cash compensation rather than a draft pick, but who knows.

Arians would be a great hire and if he can bring Bowles as the DC, even better. It could come as a package deal with Bowles being the likely long term successor, however Bowles might have decided he’s better suited as a coordinator.

I expect Arians to be relatively hands off with the coordinators having autonomy. Depends on his OC I guess, but Monken might have the opportunity to stay. Quite a lot of his last offensive staff don’t have jobs at the minute, so we may well see him putting the band back together, wherever he ends up.
