I like this off-season.

Favorite draft pick is D Mitch. Kids a baller. His frame will keep him from being elite but he will be a solid 2nd/3rd WR. But I love his game after the catch. He put Byron Murphy on skates in route to a TD vs UW. 3rd downs will be his bread and butter as he has a knack for finding soft zones in the defense.

He reminds me of Trevor Davis. Might be more fluid though.

I’m mixed on it.

I don’t think Amos is worth big money in today’s nfl that is devaluing safeties that aren’t single high players.

2 DL to start the draft is a little odd too. We need like quality OLBs.

Understandable on Amos. Although, I don’t think 7.5 million a year is that crazy of money.

Omenihu is an EDGE/OLB. Pettine likes a guy that can set the edge. This guy can.

Looks like a lot of developmental prospects that likely will never develop. That’s a TT draft. Lots of bust factors. First pick is generally fine. Second pick is a reach. The rest is just bodies.

Simmons and Omenihu definitely aren’t developmental guys. Raymond is to some extent. Once you get beyond the first couple of rounds everybody is developmental to some level. That or they’re limited athletes who have already hit their ceiling as a prospect. Every prospect has a certain amount of bust to them. There is no guarantee.

Explain how Omenihu is a reach? Can’t say that I agree. If anything he’s more likely to go before 1.30. Great frame, extreme length, explosive mover, productive in college. What am I missing?

Explain how the rest are just bodies? Do you even know the prospects at all?

I do.  Just feel like there is to many fliers in your mock. Sorry. That what TT was doing.  That’s why we need to get away from that style to turn this team around.

So who are you taking after the first couple of rounds that aren’t flyers? All you’re doing is taking guys that have certain traits that aligns well with what your team is trying to do at each position. Every prospect is going to have warts and weaknesses. Good coaches and systems put those prospects in a position to maximize their strong traits while masking their weak points that can’t be coached up. TT along with every other GM are/were taking “flyers” with essentially every pick. The draft is a crapshoot. Nothing more. Some prospects have better odds of making it than others. Even then there is a certain amount of luck involved whether it be fluke injuries, unforeseen character issues, or some players just not “getting it”.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on a particular prospect(s) instead of just calling them reaches or flyers. Explain why. I’m genuinely curious.

Omenihu is a DL, not EDGE. I like that pick, though. Lots of mockers have Zach Allen at the end of the 1st but I think Omenihu is who they should be putting there. Allen does not have Round 1-caliber athleticism. Omenihu does.

It's a redundant pick if you take Simmons at 12, though.

You don't pull any punches and must be a top notch football player talent guru.  Lots of negatives, not much on who/what/why.  Put your own mock draft up as Lieker did as your rebuttal instead of picking it apart with vague comments.  Lieker, appreciate the effort.

Omenihu doesn’t have the movement to play OLB. He’s a 280 collaspe the pocket DE prospect with some speed for his size (honestly pretty similar to Datone Jones). He’s a 4-3 end or development 3-4 end prospect. He’s a little too much of a development prospect for me to consider him with a top 50 pick (at least in our D, for a 4-3 team he could start).
