Amos resigned.  The Bears had the money to resign 2 of the 3 starting FAs.  Massie is already done and I think health is huge for Pace.  One guy has missed time every season, the other hasnt missed a snap.

Two part tie breaker question: Who takes 2nd in NFCN and does that team make the playoffs?

1. NEITHER Callahan or Amos resign here

2. 3rd Rounder: CB

3.  4th Rounder TE

4. 5th rounder RB to replace Mizzell

5. Bears UNDER 11.5 wins with 11. I think the defense takes a step back from the outlier season last year... The offense will actually show up this year to carry the dropoff

6. Howard UNDER 1000 rushing... I think his role here is going to wind down if he stays at all this year. I don't expect him getting resigned here.

7 Cohen OVER 450 yards rushing... Inverse of Howard here, Cohen gets more usage because of Howard's role diminishing.

8 Howard UNDER 20 Receptions

9 Cohen UNDER 70 receptions... Think he ends up taking more touches rushing, and the desire to not over use him will keep his receptions a touch lower. He'll still clear 50.

10 Trubisky OVER 3400 passing yards... Running game is imo going to be a weakness in general this year. With more experience in the system Trub's numbers should go up a bit more.

11. Trubisky OVER 27 TDs.  I'm going to say 34 total, but itll depend on how many gimmick plays Nagy calls that take one from Trubs.

12 Trubisky Over/under 12 INTs..  I'm going to say UNDER with ~9

13. Robinson UNDER 65 receptions.

14. Robinson UNDER 825 yards

15. Mack OVER 12 sacks. Less conservative scheme than Fangio's... He'll get more chances.

16. Floyd OVER 7 sacks... barely...

17. Hicks UNDER 7 sacks

18. Jackson UNDER 5 ints.... The league knows better than to throw near him now

19. Fuller UNDER 5 ints

20. Long UNDER 7 games played either for health, or just getting benched outright. He wasn't good last year.

21. Shaheen UNDER 11 games... He's big and clumsy, he'll get hurt again.

22. Roquan Pro Bowl? NO... He'll get snubbed, or be an alternate that doesn't get bumped up.

22. Daniels pro bowl? YES As an alternate, behind someone he deserved it more than regardless.

23. Bears first round BYE? YES

**24 Tiebreaker: Green Bay takes 2nd in the North they do NOT make the playoffs.

Not included bonus: I think our first pick in this draft is on a TRADE UP.

  • 11 months later...

2019 prop bets show how crushingly disappointing 2019 Bears were:

1.  Neither Callahan nor Amos resigned.  - This wasn't really a bad thing.  But wait things do get bad.

2.  I am going to skip the draft predictions other than to point out that we didn't take a TE.

3. Bears wins Over/Under at 11.5.  We went 8-8.

4. Howard - was traded so these are moot.

5. Cohen Over/Under 450 rushing yards.  Under.  Ugh.  Cohen may have been most disappointing 2019 Bear.

6. Cohen Over/Under 70 receptions.  79 receptions.  Actually exceeded expectations here, but had a lot of drops and not a lot of YAC.

7. Trubisky.  Over/Under 3400 passing yards.  Ugh again. Under at 3138.

8. MT Over/Under 27 passing TDS.  Way under.  17.  17!

9. MT over under 12 INTs.  Yay.  Only 10.  That's something at least.

10. Robinson (the bright spot).  O/U 65 receptions.  98 receptions.

11.  Robinson O/U 825 rec yards.  1147.

12. Mack O/U 12 sacks. 8.5.  Sad face.

13. Floyd O/U 7 sacks.  7?!?.  I set it low.  He got  .... 3.

14. Hicks O/U 7 sacks.  He got hurt.  1

15. Jackson O/U 5 Ints.  Just 2.

16. FullerO/U 5 ints.  Just 3.  Not horrible.

17. Long O/U 7 games played.  I set it at 7.  7!  Played 4.

18. Shaheen O/U 11 games played.  He played 8.  Sad face.

19. Smith or Daniels in pro bowl?  Nope.

20. Bears in playoffs?  Nope.
