7DnBrnc53
The Bills didn't get to five SB's because their luck ran out. I remember watching NFL Primetime for Week 1 in 1994. A Jet RB fumbled the ball, but the TE recovered it. Tom Jackson said something about how the Bills would have gotten that fumble a year ago, which is true. They didn't deserve to be in the SB's against the Cowboys, and they barely got by Denver in the 1991 AFC Title Game.

In the first one, they engineered the greatest comeback in NFL history without Jim Kelly or Thurman Thomas to jumpstart their playoff run. They absolutely deserved to be in the SB. Bolts223
Because of all the great Chargers teams to ever not make it to the SB, the 1994 Chargers decided to randomly come out of nowhere and appear in the SB that year. They didn't win that game, Houston lost it. That was the biggest choke act ever.

I don't discount that the Oilers choked, but Buffalo still had to make plays to get into position to win that game. Andre Reed basically turned into a superhero that game, and that was against a top CB in Cris Dishman. They still had to beat the top seed Pittsburgh Steelers (24-3) and the #2 seed Miami Dolphins (29-10) as well; People remember the Oilers game, but the other two were just as impressive given the MASH unit that Buffalo was fielding that day. Winning two on the road against the #1 and #2 seeds in the division isn't a given.

Also, O'Donnell had a poor game (there are some Steeler fans that have said that Brister should have started that game since O'Donnell missed some games before that playoff game), and Shelton dropped a TD INT in the third quarter that probably changes the complexion of the entire game. The Dolphins didn't even show up that day. That wasn't the Miami team I saw that year. They only ran the ball eleven times, which was a major reason for their demise. William Lee
What is the point? 49ers already bought the SB. https://www.nytimes.com/1995/01/08/magazine/how-the-49ers-beat-the-slary-cap.html Quote Still, most N.F.L. observers were stunned that "Neon Deion," one of the highest-profile professional athletes, would sign with the Niners for so little. In many people's minds, this mystery was solved a couple of months later when Sanders's shoe sponsor, Nike, unleashed two smart new commercials with Deion in a 49ers uniform. No one seriously doubts that Nike kicked in more than enough in Deion's shoe contract to make up for whatever he lost in his football contract;after all, the sight of their man doing his touchdown dance on a Super Bowl broadcast would be the sports advertising coup of the year. The Pittsburgh Steelers' president, Dan Rooney, said publicly that "Sanders's contract and other contracts should be investigated." That is why Steve Young is the most overrated QB. BTW, with that team, any top 50 QB, maybe even top 100 QB could have made SB at least twice and could have won one SB. So I don’t know how some fans can put him among top 25 QB unless they watch football for masturbation.
