Cut:

Marcell Dareus

Geoff Swaim

Marqise Lee

Jake Ryan

Abry Jones

Re-sign:

Yannick Ngakoue

Keelan Cole

Donald Payne

Seth Devalve

Free Agency:

Joe Schobert MLB - True Mike that would help in the run game and push Myles to Will.

Tyler Eifert TE - Gruden recruits him to Jax to provide a nice security blanket for Minshew.

Draft:

*Trade - Nick Foles and our 2nd round pick to Chicago for their 5th.

1a - Javon Kinlaw DT - Has been rising up the boards. Day one starter at DT.

1b - Mekhi Becton OT - Another fast riser. Massive LT that Marrone seems to prefer. Pushes Cam to OG.

3 - Thad Moss TE - Very good blocker and has good hands. Along with Eifert would make TE a position of strength.

4 - Van Jefferson WR - Great route runner and provides excellent ST ability.

5 - Logan Stenberg OG - Nasty mauler Guard. Has penalty problems that need to be cleaned up.

5 - Benito Jones NT - Massive run-stopping NT.

6 - Troy Pride Jr CB - Seems to be a guy that the Jags have been all over at the Senior Bowl.

6 - Francis Bernard LB - Jags have spoken with him multiple times at the Senior Bowl. Has outstanding instincts and could play any of the LB spots and provide ST help.

7 - Jessie Lemonier EDGE - Depth for behind Yan, Allen, and Smoot.

Cut:

Marcell Dareus

Geoff Swaim

Marqise Lee

Jake Ryan

Re-sign:

Yannick Ngakoue (still holding onto hope that a LTD gets done)

Keelan Cole

Donald Payne

Seth Devalve

Free Agency:

Joe Schobert MLB

Wendell Smallwood RB - Ties with Gruden and Jags tried to put in a claim last year. Will be our 3rd down back.

Marqise Goodwin WR - Seems to be on the outs in SF. Marrone seems to love the guy going back to Buffalo. Would be a nice option off the bench to spread the D out.

Eric Berry S - Apparently wants to come back next year. Shouldn’t be too expensive and would push Wilson at FS.

Trade:

Nick Foles, our 2nd, and 6th to Chicago for their 4th.

Draft:

1a - Mekhi Becton OT

1b - Kristian Fulton CB

3 - Harrison Bryant TE

4 - Benito Jones NT

4 - Antonio Gibson RB/WR/KR

5 - Francis Bernard LB

6 - Jon Runyan OG

7 - Jessie Lemonier EDGE

Nick Foles doesn't open enough cap wise to make losing a 2nd round worth it imo.

As far as Schobert, I'm a huge fan but I worry because he hasn't graded too well in the run game. Excellent cover LB and would be thrilled but we really need a downhill thumper.

Matt Millers latest mock has us getting Isaiah Simmons and Javon Kinlaw in the first, which would be incredible.

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2874393-2020-nfl-mock-draft-matt-millers-post-super-bowl-complete-7-round-predictions#slide33

Based on how his played out, I would draft this way:

1a - Isaiah Simmons LB/S

1b - Javon Kinlaw DT

2 - Trevon Diggs CB

3 - Solomon Kindley OG

4 - Harrison Bryant TE

5 - Antonio Gibson RB/WR/KR

6 - Francis Bernard LB

6 - Benito Jones NT

7 - Kevin Dotson OL

@.Buzz whats your thoughts on this

9 Javon Kinlaw, IDL was between Becton and kinlaw along with both wrs. Kinlaw i think wins out due to the immediate IDL need.

20 K'Lavon Chaisson, EDGE i honestly was trying to figure out who to pick between epensa and chaisson and the only reason i went chaisson was because of his upside and the need for a 2nd true edge if ngakoue leaves.

42 Patrick Queen, LB mike lb

73 Bryce Hall, CB a top shelf cover 3 corner

106 Ben Bartch, OT im not sure if hes day 1 ready because of his small school but at worst we need some ol depth and bartch might have some left tackke abilities due to his athletic abilities as he was a former te.

155 Harrison Bryant, TE we need a te answer

169 Lynn Bowden, WR slot wr who is a dynamic playmaker who does make sacrfices for the betterment of the team.

186 Patrick Taylor Jr., RB rb depth. Has above average size and has played some slot wr.  Missed most of the year with an injury.

200 Charlie Heck, OT tall athletic backup. Was a soccer player thru highschool and is the son of former nfl ol andy heck

I like it a lot, but I'm slightly worried about the optics of the OL. I think a solid MLB or interior DL could be had via FA. OL I'm not sure I feel the same about.

Chaisson makes sense if Yan is gone, Kinlaw is great, but feel like instead of Queen we should sign a solid guy like Schobert/Martinez and go interior OL.
