Whicker
Seoul Dragons Offense With only 4 valid corners we are going to test Lancaster CB depth today. Look for us to split out our weapons as much as we can. Lancaster pass rush is fierce, so we are like to target the short area of the field, with Crowder, Kelce and Hooper our main options in this area. We will have a lot of slants, drag and curl routes to do so. Robinson and Callaway will again serve as field stretchers, but won’t be targeted unless left 1 vs 1 against a corner man to man. Kyler Murray will need to make plays with his arm but also with his legs, especially vs man to man. First read of Kyler will be to check Lancaster type of coverage and if there’s some sort of spy. If not, then he will go ahead and run to pick up some yardage. Or goal is to move the ball slowly via Murray legs or short passes. On intermediate downs and favourable yardage, we will install a more classic 2TE offense with Howard in for Coutee and again try to move the ball via the run game or the short passing game Defense Lancaster offense is almost impossible to defend against. They have 2 weapons outside that command double coverage IRL, one of the best TE in the game and one of the best pass catching RB in the NFL, in addition to a good OL. We will have to pick our posion here and we will dare them to run the ball, especially with a limited Kamara. We will have a mix of man and zone coverage, with a lot of blitzes. We usually don’t like to blitz a ton but with a questionable Ingram and with little shot of winning with a straight gameplan, we have to get creative defensively. We will blitz one or two guys hoping to keep Kamara or Kittle in protection instead of running routes. Coverage will be, in man: Wallace vs ODB Wilson vs Evans Shaq vs Kittle Williams vs Kamara Jones vs Sneed M.Williams in deep responsibilities on Evans side Edmunds in deep responsabilities on ODB side Edmunds and Williams are responsible for blitz compensation in case of a corner or LB blitz Lancaster Werewolves Lancaster Offensive Strategy: We want to come out guns blazing versus Seoul. We want to focus on making big plays against their depleted secondary and running up the score early before then eating up the clock to finish out the game. If at any point that lead comes into question we will obviously ramp up the passing again because that is where we think we will have the most success. The Passing Strategy: Seoul’s weakest point is definitely their secondary right now so we want to attack them often going into this game. Sterling Shepherd is out but Willie Snead is a fine replacement and we’ve recently added Kittle to the roster. We’ll also be using Alvin Kamara as a weapon out of the backfield as well as splitting him out wide on a number of plays. With so many weapons going against a struggling defense, Rivers should have at least one open target on most plays. We think we should have a decent amount of success slinging the ball around. In the second half when we switch to a more run-heavy approach we’re still going to have Rivers take some shots just to keep the defense honest. The Running Strategy: We’ll obviously be running the ball somewhat during the first half of the game even though it won’t be the focus. Come the second half, assuming we have a decent lead, is when we’re really going to commit to the ground game. We plan to eat as much clock up as possible to wind the game down. While Kamara will still get the majority of the touches we plan on rotating all 3 of our RBs in to make sure Kamara doesn’t get too gassed. Even though the DL is the most talented group on this Seoul D, we should still have success running the ball behind this OL. Carolina Defensive Strategy: We’re not really sure what Seoul will run this week. No matter what they run the key we think is to contain Kyler and get pressure on him. Their offense should likely be pretty one dimensional this week with their best RB being Jordan Howard so we can really key in on the passing game. The Pass Defense Strategy: We’re still going to be running our 4-2-5 man coverage base defense this week regardless of the formation Seoul uses. The difference will be who plays and covers who. We expect them to come out in a 3 TE, 1 WR formation like last week since that’ll get their best players on the field. If they do, it’ll look like this: Jaire Alexander will cover the receiver, Jalen Ramsey will cover Gerald Everett, and Vonn Bell will again be in the box and covering Travis Kelce with Kevin King. Kevin King will be the one on Kelce due to his 6’3” height. Eddie Jackson will cover Austin Hooper along with Kwon Alexander. Wagner will be covering the RB out of the backfield. Occasionally the LB’s will be blitzing. Everyone should be in the box if this is the formation which should limit Kyler Murray’s ability to escape. If they come out with 2 WRs and 2 TEs, it will look like this: Jaire Alexander on one WR and Jalem Ramsey on the other. Eddie Jackson will cover Gerald Everett and Vonn Bell and Kevin King will stick on Kelce. Alexander will cover the RB out of the backfield and Wagner will play QB spy with the LB’s again occasionally blitzing. Again this will keep people in the box to limit Murray’s attempt to escape. The DL will be playing a lot of contain, trying to trap Murray in the pocket and limit his ability to run. Either way we think we should be able to get a decent amount of pressure just rushing four with an occasional blitz. The Run Defense Strategy: With Wayne Gallman likely out, Jordan Howard will be the lead back for Seoul which quite frankly doesn’t scare us (knock on wood). Either way we’ll be playing with the majority of our guys in the box most of the game since we don’t think Seoul will have much success at all passing deep. This will limit the running game from either the RBs or Murray. Edited October 13, 2019 by Whicker

VigilantZombie
I expect Murray to have a good game here but I dont like the lack of a 'starting RB' or starting Kelce at WR. When it comes to Lancaster, there isn't much to like about Rivers this week but overall, that offense is just better. I don't view either of these defenses as particularly fearful this week but they'll make some plays. In the end the better weapons win out in a shootout and Rivers gets the win here that escaped him irl. 35-32 Lancaster
