No. That loss to Illinois in 2019 was worse. Undefeated, game in hand, and then just poor execution and decision making from the numb nut on the sidelines. Our only losses that year were to teams ranked in the top 10 and that loss was so deflating, it lead to an incredibly poor effort vs Ohio State the next week. Let's work a deal out behind the scenes and make it look mutual. Year's done. This is a notch more urgent than it was last week. We're venturing into not finishing the season territory.

Duluther
Guys, let's just stick with the process. History shows, through the ebb and flows, firing coaches like Bo blows. InChrystWe'llRise
malibuspeedrace
If they do decide to cut bait with your 3rd winnings coach…maybe plucking away the Iowa OC would be just the right move hurt a division ‘rival’ while helping your stuck in the mud offense Edited October 1, 2022 by malibuspeedrace

beekay414
I love that it gives us 7 games to evaluate Leonhard before we have to decide whether or not to go after Leipold.
beekay414
If we get Leipold, maybe he brings Jalon Daniels with him? Nah, I'm not gonna do that to myself lol.

It was smart to do it in-season for reasons I stated above. You're gonna owe him that money after that dumbass extension they gave him last season no matter what. It does nothing for you to keep him around as a lame duck. You have a highly sought after assistant that someone's gonna make a head coach AND you have the current frontrunner for National Coach of the Year being a born and bread Wisconsinite that multiple teams are going to chase. Gives you the perfect format to make the decision on whether you go with the unproven young gun or the coach that wins at every stop he makes. It makes perfect sense, just thought the athletic department would settle for Chryst and refuse to cut the check. It’d be really hard for me to not giving Leipold a call barring anything short of a miraculous turnaround. I like Leonhard, but Leipold just wins. Everywhere and always.
