onejayhawk
Last week against the Titans was not only a brutal loss against a lesser team, it was expensive. Emaunual Ogbah, arguably the best offseason acquisition, is done for the season, article below. This is particularly important since Frank Clark, though practicing, is still not 100%. Tanoh Kpassagnon has stepped up and Chris Jones was effective from DE, so all is not doom. The good news is that elsewhere the injury situation has improved from ghastly to merely very bad. Fuller is practicing on defense and LDT and Fisher are practicing with the OL. Still, the bye in week 11 will be very welcome. This game will not have the caché of the game scheduled for Mexico City last year. Neither the Chiefs nor the Chargers are flying as high this time through. On the other side, once again we are up against an elite QB, #10 on the FBO list. Ingeneral, the Chiefs hang on to the #3 over all position in FBO's rankings, while the Chargers are #19. https://www.yardbarker.com/nfl/articles/chiefs_defensive_lineman_emmanuel_ogbah_has_torn_pectoral_muscle/s1_14819_30504257 Edited November 25, 2019 by onejayhawk
kingseanjohn
I don’t like that we aren’t practicing at altitude. It’s no joke and if anyone hasn’t had the experience, the team will be gassed.

The thinner air and smog make it different than Denver. Walking around and lounging isn’t bad if you’re in shape. But playing at a high intensity is. Bullyball
Watching the Steelers-Browns game last night, I could only imagine how unstoppable our offense would be with if Kareem Hunt didn't do that terrible act.

I say no worse because Denver trains in it all the time. The Chargers are from 900 lower altitude than the Chiefs. J
onejayhawk
Friday injury rundown. Three Kansas City Chiefs missed practice on Friday — TE Blake Bell (ankle), DE Emmanuel Ogbah (pec) and DE Alex Okafor (ankle). Chiefs head coach Andy Reid confirmed Thursday that Ogbah had surgery to repair his torn pectoral muscle. His season is likely over. RT Mitchell Schwartz (knee) was limited once again. RG Laurent Duvernay-Tardif (ankle) and LT Eric Fisher (groin) were full participants for the second day in a row. Duvernay-Tardif hasn’t played since Week 8 and Fisher hasn’t played since Week 2. RB Damien Williams missed practice but was excused (not having to do with injury). The Chargers revealed that RT Sam Tevi (knee) had surgery on his meniscus Friday and it could take a couple of weeks for his return. LT Russell Okung (groin) was held out for the second day in a row. Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn has said rookie Trey Pipkins would make his first career start at left tackle if Okung is held out. Second-year OL Trent Scott will play right tackle with Tevi out. Not too worried about conditioning.. Andy knows what he’s doing.. Pretty sure the last few times we played @Denver THEY were the ones gassed. Not exactly the same, but Andy will rotate early and we’ll be fresh. Edited November 16, 2019 by samsel23
mayanfootball
I watched the Chargers, Raiders game. Rivers looked dreadful. Practicing at altitude for a week won't put a shine on that stink.
Habbsawce
I really hope they move Chris Jones to the edge and put Saunders and Pennel in the middle. Jam up Melvin Gordon/Austin Ekeler and make Rivers throw the ball. He has been brutal this year.
