CUTS - FINAL 53 ROSTER - YEAR 16

I have to cut 7 players, if they have PS eligibility left they will head there, unless they suck.  I might even make a trade or two.

WR Steve Burse (68) - CUT - out of PS eligibility.

RT Christian June (64) - CUT - out of PS eligibility.

RT Deon Lawson (64) - PS - 22 years old.

DT Parrish Clarke (74) - CUT - he's 28, doesn't really play and is declining.

DT Jermaine Hewitt (65) - CUT - out of PS eligibility.

CB Thurman Curry (63) - PS - he has hidden dev, I'll try to hide him on the PS.

*TRADE*

BUF Bills Receive

RG Nick Traynor (76)

ARI Cardinals Receive

Future 4th round pick

Bills need Oline.  I have a ton of picks in this upcoming draft so I asked for a future pick.

TRADE DEADLINE UPDATE

The reality of my current situation is beautiful.  I'm undefeated, 7-0.  That's the best record I've had at the deadline.  However, ROLB A Slate wants a new contract and isn't a big contributor.

*TRADE*
Steelers Receive

ROLB A Slate (83)

ARI Cardinals Receive

2nd Round Pick

CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS

DT Derek Tripp (88) - no offer (for now)

- At the moment he wants a $16 mil contract extension.  He's 35.  Let's see how much he regresses in the offseason (if he doesn't retire).

HB Jordan Silver (89) - 5 year deal, $5.5 mil salary, $3.55 SB, $6.56 Y1 cap hit - $45.0 mil Total Contract

- This doesn't feel like a lot of money for a 25 year old SS X Factor, but Silver has never played 16 games in a season.  In fact, he's prone to missing 4-8 games a season a lot.  But, I don't feel like rooting around for another HB, so he's coming back.

SS Jamichael Miss (88) - 4 year deal, $5.7 mil salary, $4.70 SB, $8.35 Y1 cap hit - $41.4 mil Total Contract REJECTED

- I feel like this was a very reasonable deal.  I'll try to sign him again in the offseason.

RG Milton Worthington III (82) - 5 year deal, $5.1 mil salary, $2.45 SB, $5.24 Y1 cap hit - $37.5 mil Total Contract

- He's 26, and I wish he had developed more by now, but he's a Star dev Olineman which is rare.  This is a pretty reasonable deal for a starting Olineman.

LG Jerry Berlin (78) - 2 year deal, $3.5 mil salary, $1.05 SB, $4.05 Y1 cap hit - $9.0 mil Total Contract

- He's a solid starter, still just 24 years old.  But he isn't very athletic and I'd like to upgrade him eventually, hence the 2 year deal.

ROLB Clifford Boothe (77) - No offer

- He's 27 and has a solid OVR, but he isn't a well rounded player at all.  His other three archetypes range from 62 to 56 OVR.

OC Chris Thurston (76) - 2 year deal, $3.5 mil salary, $1.05 SB, $4.05 Y1 cap hit - $9.0 mil Total Contract

- Like Berlin, he's a solid starter.  25 years old.  He's a better athlete though.  Still, I'll probably replace him eventually.  I could end up trading either him or Berlin if I find replacements.

CB Trayvon Conrad (75) - 5 year deal, $1.5 mil salary, $950k SB, $1.75 Y1 cap hit - $12.0 mil Total Contract

- He's somehow still only 24 years old.  He's a star dev quality depth CB.

MLB Cedric Torrence (74) - no offer

- He's a solid backup, just 24 years old, but I have several other MLBs and he will never start.  I can find cheaper depth.

TE Donovan Carroll (74) - 3 year deal, $2.7 mil salary, $1.10 SB, $3.09 Y1 cap hit - $11.3 mil Total Contract

- I was back and forth on this one.  He's solid but doesn't start.  He's 25 and TEs can be hard to find.

HB Matthew Floyd (74) - no offer

- He's not very good.

SS Quantavious Joseph (70) - 4 year deal, $1.2 mil salary, $800k SB, $1.54 Y1 cap hit - $7.8 mil Total Contract

- He's a 23 year old rookie with Hidden Dev (I don't know what his dev trait is yet).  This is like a free draft pick.  Plus his name is Quantavious.

QB Dwayne Haskins (65) - no offer

- He's 37 years old.

TE Patrick Samuels (70) - no offer

- I don't need to resign two mediocre backup TEs.

QB McCoy stepped up with 4,018 passing yards, his best yet.  36 TDs vs 4 INTs is amazing too.

HB Jordan Silver missed half the season again.

WR Bullard had a great year.  TE Price added 10 TDs as well.

LE H Herman led the team with 11 sacks, but DT D Tripp turned back the clock and cranked out 10.5 sacks!

I'm still not getting much production from my OLBs.

BENGALS NOTABLE STATS

QB M Holloway threw for 4,767 yards (1st in NFL), 52 freaking TDs (1st in the NFL by 22 tds lol) and 9 Ints.

FB Jimmy McCauley added 367 rushing yards and 5 TDs.  He now has 4,283 career rushing yards and 64 TDs.

- For reference, HOFer Mike Alstott had 5,088 career rushing yards, and 58 TDs.

WR Bartell had 1,247 receiving yards, 92 receptions and 13 TDs.  For his career he has 12,788 yards, 948 receptions and 122 TDs.

RE Toone had 8.5 sacks. Toone is up to 122.5 career sacks.

We've already been over DT Tripp's year.  Tripp has an incredible 152.0 career sacks.

CAREER NFL RECORDS

For the first time I have some players I drafted that are now listed in top 10 all time stats.

WR D Bartell with 122 TDs is now 9th all time in receiving TDs.  If he breaks 130 he'll be 5th all time, behind only Owens (153), Moss (156), Q Livingston (160), and Rice (197).  Q Livingston is a CPU generated WR that was a high pick in one of the first drafts.

DT D Tripp with 152 sacks is now 10th all time in sacks. If he can break 160, he'll be 7th, behind Myles Garrett (201), B Smith (200), R White (198), Von Miller (183), Aaron Donald (182), Khalil Mack (176).

Fantasy league where even the Bengals go 16-0, the Lions and Cards can go 13-3 but the Cowboys still say 9-7. If that isn't a paradox, I don't know what is. You would think there would be some change in our record but nope, still middle of the pack. Is JG still the coach?
