I wanted to do a mock where the Rams once again make some bold and aggressive moves in the draft and off season to get better. I really feel like with these moves we would be a very young and dangerous team with some quality depth at positions of weakness last year.

Re-sign

K Greg Zuerlein

OT Andrew Whitworth

OLB Dante Fowler Jr. (Franchise Tag)

DL Morgan Fox

Free Agency

ILB- Nigel Bradham

The Rams grab a very constant veteran leader in the middle of the defense. Nigel will be a nice replacement for Littleton, good tackle with plenty of NFL experience without the big price tag.

Trades

( I might of Borrowed some of Jrry32 Trades, they just made since, thank you, lol)

Rams trade OLB Dante Fowler Jr.

Dolphins trade Round 2 Pick #24 and a 2021 Round 4 Pick

The Dolphins need playmakers in a bad way and they have lots of money to spend. Fowler just priced his way right out of the Rams budget.

Rams trade 2: Round 4 Pick #34

Detroit trade: Round 5 Pick #26 and Round 6 Pick #3

The Lions jump all the way back into the 4th Round in order to grab a player that has fallen that is high on their board as a positive day one contributor. With the Rams being low on depth we jump back into the late 5th and grab a high extra 6th Rounder. Les Snead in Front Office isn't playing with trying to get the best talent. With these moves we get some very explosive talent at some positions of need now.

Draft

2. (20) Tyler Biadasz-C, Wisconsin

The Rams decided it's time to invest in building a strong interior online. The Rams Front Office is celebrating as the best center in the draft falls to us in the 2nd. Tyler had an very strong season and career for the Badgers. Biadasz has a strong anchor to handle bull rushes and the strength to sustain his blocks into the whistle blows. Tyler was also strong in pass pro as well as made a living blasting open big holes for the running backs. This is another big hole filled for the Rams as Tyler is a Day 1 Starter.

2. (24) Josh Uche-OLB, Michigan

The Rams utilize this trade pick of Fowler in order to grab his replacement in Uche. Josh is a fast and dangerous edge rusher for the Wolverines. He has really good awareness and a great motor. Uche will be a very pass rushing specialist for the Rams as a Day 1 Starter. Josh will be able to not be so pressured as every team will have to focus on Aaron Donald first, then Clay also coming off the edge also.

3. (20) Malik Harrison-ILB, Ohio State

I Absolutely love this kid, Malik is a Freaking Hard Hitting Tackling Machine. He plays with a Mean Streak, he has great awareness and pulls himself off blocks well. This well be on of the steal of the Drafts, Malik can come right in as a potential starter next to Nigel.

4.(20)  Rashard Lawrence-DT, LSU

The Rams are extremely happy too grab a great leader for LSU Defense. Rashard is very disruptive and is an excellent run stuffer with excellent lateral quickness in the middle. He would be the perfect replacement for Michael Brockers and a great fit next to Aaron Donald. Lawrence when he is consist has 1st Round talent, but we get a steal here because of some of those inconsistency issues.

5. (26) Ezra Cleveland-OT, Boise State

The Rams are doubling down on good offensive offensive linemen. Ezra played well as the left tackle. He would come in and learn behind Whitworth. Cleveland gives us another option to rotate.

6. (3) Daryl Williams-G/C, Mississippi St.

The Rams aren't playing with Beefing up the interior line. Daryl played very well for the Bull Dogs as a guard and even better as a Center. He will come in and compete for playing time as well as give us another nice rotational peice for the Rams.

6 (20) Antoine Brooks Jr.-S, Maryland

Antoine was a very solid leader and hard hitting playmaking safety in college. Brooks would come in as a special teamer. He could end up being a Marqui Christian replacement.

7 (20) Shaquille Quarterman-ILB, Miami

This is another kid that I really like. Shaquille made sure his presence in the middle was felt for Miami. He is a strong hard hitting linebacker that also plays with a nasty streak. I love how he gets off the blocks and just recks plays. He can be a very nice 2 down backer for us. His Coverage skills needs a little improvement.

Want nothing to do with Nigel Bradham, dude couldn't cover a bed.

I grabbed Nigel because we are scrapped for money and he is a good veteran leader. So do you have any recommendations for a cheaper ILB Option in Free Agency that's a good tackler that can cover?

Would rather stick with what we got. He's not an improvement.

He's an improvement over Troy Reeder and Hager.

We have no clue what we have in Kiser.

I'd be VERY interested in Natrez Patrick getting an opportunity in camp to start with 1st team at ILB.

I'd take myself over Nigel. I'd be cheaper and be just as effective getting burned in coverage and running in quicksand.

Natrez, Micah, and Travin Howard/Kenny Young all intrigue me way more.

Yeah they're more intriguing, but thats not a list you role into a season with. You need a vet in some capacity in the group while you continue to develop the names you mentioned. How good are your leadership skills? lol

I get what you're saying but I disagree for the most part and I'll just use one instance to back up my stance. Eric Weddle. We all thought good we brought in a vet and one that has been a much better pro than Bradham and we as fans couldn't get him off the field fast enough. I understand wanting some experience there but they have to be good and I don't think Bradham is that. Todd Davis is rumored to be getting cut he's better imo. Danny Trevathan is better and our coach knows him. Patrick Owuasor is also much better than Bradham.

Agreed, and Nigel has nowhere near the pedigree of Weddle. Adding a crappy veteran doesn't mean it's an upgrade over an unknown commodity.

But if it helps you sleep better at night putting him in a mock draft in February @BStanRamFan, then go for it. Having watched Bradham this past year I will gladly pass. He is a huge liability.

That's fair if Bradham is not the guy you want as the Vet presence, but the concept of having atleast one I think is necessary. I agree I like Todd Davis and Trevathan more than Bradham.
