I keep calling him Jamal Crawford, and it's Jordan Crawford.  Not the same dude.

Anyway, he's going to be on the trading block for sure.  Last year of his deal, and he's still really dangerous offensively.  Plus he wasn't thrilled with PT last season, even though it was the same as the year prior when he was "thrilled".

And all of the sudden the last year of Marty McGuire's deal just vanished?  WTF?

 

EDIT: The Edit Player selection allows you to cheat on contracts.  His last year is still showing there, but not in the player contracts screen.  Very odd.  Dale's is just fine.

I did.  Now it's only 4 years.  It should be 5 still, because it was the extension.  His previous deal was still in effect, making it a 6 year deal total.

I had all 5 years recorded in my spreadsheet to track against the Cap.  His player edit screen still shows it. 

I'm hoping when i advance to the next season that it will come back.

The only saving grace for this was that they were both RFAs and I was allowed to go over the soft cap to match the offers they got and resign them.

A few updates from last night that i didn't get posted.

I'm pretty cash strapped at the moment with Burke's and McGuire's deals.  I have plenty of room to sign my guys, but i'm left with mid-level exception deals for FA.  So my big move this year was Markieff Morris lol.

Free Agency

• Signed PF/C Markieff Morris to a 2 year + 1 Yr Player Option for 6.05M
• Signed PF/SF Robin Cartwright to a 3 year, 7.24M deal (needed bench depth, and he doesn't count against the soft cap)

Training Camps

• Dale Burke - Perimeter Shooting (3 pts to Shot Medium, Shot 3PT, Shoot off Dribble) - Now 96 Shot Medium, 85 3PT, 88 Shoot Off Dribble, OVR increase to 94
• Marty McGuire - Combo Guard (3 points to pass, balling handling, and shoot in traffic) - Now 98 pass, 93 ball handling, 71 SIT, OVR increase to 95

Bulls need some help.  They have Derrick Rose and Leroy Booker (90 OVR PG), but a whole lot of crap behind that.  Booker is on the last year of his deal, so i'm gambling that they fall off after this season.  This also frees some cap space.

So here's my opening roster then.  I may sign another guy to a 1 year deal with the room that Crawford gave.

Updated Top 25 list (highlighted players are CPU generated).  The bottom of the list is getting better. 

I actually think they balanced these drafts fairly well.  My only complaint is the lack of middle-tier talent.  Seems like the middle of the league is getting thinner.  You've got 70's and you've 90's.  Not a lot in between.

As a reminder, i have the Spurs 1st pick this season.  Looking at their roster, they improved quite a bit since i made that trade (picked up a couple of guys in FA).  So i traded that pick for the Nuggets 1st this year and next.  I was only going to target their first next year, since i'm projecting them to be bad next year.  But they wanted to throw this one in too.  I'm ok with it, because i think they might be decent this season.
