agarcia34
First time watching Chet. He’s impressive. Just a monster protecting the rim. Not the best competition but you can see why he was ranked as the number 1 recruit

THE DUKE
Chet should be on a high protein 8000+ calorie diet that guys like Chris Hemsworth and Hugh Jackman use to bulk up for movies. Even getting up to 225 would be huge for him. Combine that with high rep cardio weightlifting and some sort flexibility training like Yoga is the training regimen he needs to be on.

The one thing that's concerning about Chet is that he really hasn't put on any weight in years.

Marcus Bingham came in around the same size as Chet and didn't really put weight on his first couple of years but now is up to 230. Still looks skinny but it has definitely helped. Chet may not put on a lot now but he is still young and could easily fill out over the next couple of years. He is definitely skilled, just hope he can hold up to bigger guys. Is an NBA team willing to essentially give him a redshirt year to help keep putting on weight and strength? He isn't going to have 2-3 years at Gonzaga. He will likely add 5-10 LBs by next year. Then as a top 5 pick he will have 3 years really to put on weight. I’d be fine waiting with him having a rough rookie year allowing another top pick and then figuring it out. I think that’s about the perfect scenario for getting multiple talents on a team like OKC did. If KD is superstar KD right away they don’t get Russ and Harden. Durant is an outlier though as a 6'11" perimeter player that averaged nearly 30 ppg as a true freshman. Chet's weight/strength are more relevant because he's likely going to be a 5 in the NBA.
