Things I look forward to in 2021 and beyond

I look forward to....in no particular order

1. Not having a top 10 draft choice year in and year out

2. Adam Gase being replaced

3. Drafting players who come in and make a difference immediately, not a project 3 years from now.

4.Hitting some late draft home runs

5. Hiring a coach who can last more than 2-3 years, who can actually coach.

6. Drafting/FA pass rusher difference maker (hasn't it been more than 10 years since we've had one?)

7.Joe Douglas becoming executive of the year (keep up the good work Joe)

8. The Jets making the playoffs within 2 years

9. Having a game changing ALL PRO WR

1O. Having a game changing RB

11. Not losing Fatukasi to FA like we did Snacks.

1. Not having a top 10 draft choice year in and year out - At least not due to crappy record

2. Adam Gase being replaced - Should be #1

3. Drafting players who come in and make a difference immediately, not a project 3 years from now. - Kind if unrealistic expectation. Rookies need to learn and some positions have a steeper learning curves than others.  Maybe adjust the immediately to within 2 years would be more like reality.

4.Hitting some late draft home runs - Absolutely

5. Hiring a coach who can last more than 2-3 years, who can actually coach. - Very much so

6. Drafting/FA pass rusher difference maker (hasn't it been more than 10 years since we've had one?) - I don’t care how we pressure the QB as long as we make him uncomfortable.  However, I would like an EDGE to go with this good iDL

7.Joe Douglas becoming executive of the year (keep up the good work Joe) - Agreed but wasn’t Mac Exec if the Year once? Just be a good GM JD

8. The Jets making the playoffs within 2 years - I believe we can with the way we are setup.

9. Having a game changing ALL PRO WR - How about 3 good WR?

1O. Having a game changing RB - I really believe RB’s are products of the OL and play calling.  Give me a reliable RB that can get those tough yards and break one every now and then

11. Not losing Fatukasi to FA like we did Snacks. - Snacks was let go due to poor player allocation.  Too many DL that were high draft picks and wanted to get paid. Snacks as a 2 down player was let go because of that.  That is one of the reasons I worry about back-to-back OT’s.  Too many high draft picks at one position group drafted so closely results in losing good players or ending up in cap hell

Unfortunately the only way some of these happen is picking a new fav team to follow.....

Nothing about the QB position...
