2021 NFL Draft - Green Bay Packers

Traded 29 to NY Giants for 42 and 76

Round 2 Pick 42: Greg Newsome II

1229639027.jpg

Great Skillset and technique to go along with a twitchy and rangy frame. Can play outside with Hilton in the slot.

Round 2 Pick 62: Alim Mcneill, DT. North Carolina State

eremkmdpysqyby2w6ixw

Heavy hands and raw strength can reset the line of scrimmage. Played RB and LB in HS, still raw to DL. Maybe over drafted this year with lack of DL depth.

Round 3 Pick 76:  Jevon Holland, S. Oregon

Slot CB / S. We could use both. Natural instincts that cannot be taught.

Round 3 Pick 92:  Tommy Tremble, TE. Notre Dame

Perfect for our run / playaction offense. Great blocker!

Round 4 Pick 135: Monty Rice, LB. Georgia

Competition at ILB. Monty Rice was excellent against the run and can work through traffic. Despite being recruited because of coverage ability, hasn't demonstrated enough to warrant day 2 pick.

Round 4 Pick 142: Kylin Hill, RB. Mississippi State

Explosive and quick. Lacks elite speed. Competition for RB 2/3.

Round 5 Pick 174: Jaelon Darden, ST/WR. North Texas

Jitterbug!! Try him on PR/KR. Will probably turn into dust after 1st NFL tackle, but good luck getting him 1st. Some of my favorite highlight plays in draft.

Round 5 Pick 178: Ben Mason, RB. Michigan

Give me a FB please. Tommy Tremble might play FB also, but why not a B10 FB for the pack.

Round 6 Pick 215: Tarron Jackson, EDGE. Coastal Carolina

... Competition

Round 6 Pick 221: Cole Van Lanen, OT. Wisconsin

... Went to school at UW, need to draft UW lineman.

Round 7 Pick 254: James Smith, P. Cincinnati

I don't know how your gypsy math all works...I'm not a cap guy either.

I like your FA Signings although I would like a Vet rb signed...either Williams, Carson, Brieda, or White

I like your draft as well. especially the top picks.

I really like Marsette Smith as a WR/Return guy...probably more than Darden.

Depending on who is signed as a vet RB... would really like a pass catching jitterbug type to complement Dillon...Hawkins, Jermar Jefferson, Hubbard, or Gainwell

Honestly not the biggest fan. I feel like this is too much of an add a bunch of mediocre pieces to the defense offseason. I don't like:

-FA bringing in a corner/DL and then going DL/corner.

-resigning Linsely- (30 year old IOL don't get third deals)

-drafting a FB- Degura is essentially a H Back combo TE/FB. I get using a third on a TE, but any pick on a FB for us is a waste.

I'll piggyback a little bit.  Between Deguara, Dafney and Lovett still hanging around, we have FB more than covered.

I also don't know why we cut Lowry if we aren't really using the money.
