NFL Snooze News: Volume Four, Por Favor

It’s a good move for the Jets, while the loss last night stung, they are still very much in the thick of things for the division and the playoffs. With their schedule looking to get easier for a stretch.

On the other side, this is a move that the Raiders should have made this summer. After failing to move up to get a young QB, the Raiders should have started the process of a full rebuild year.

Also, in other Jets-related news, since Reddick has now been allowed to seek a trade, it should be noted that if that trade is to a NFC team, the Jets would have to forfeit the 2026 2nd rd pick they received in the deal to acquire him from the Eagles in the first place.  So, I can't imagine that the Jets would approve any deal to the Vikings or anyone else in the NFC for that matter.

I think that is a bad move for New York. Giving up a day to pick for a 31-year-old receiver with a huge contract in order to placate a washed up Aaron Rodgers. Furthermore, this can’t make Garrett Wilson happy. The Jets are a joke of a franchise.

Who should really be upset?  Mike WIlliams.

FF Jets fans are all saying Rodgers is sure to retire at the end of this year too.

And if he does, they'll have absolutely nothing to show for it and no future whatsoever.  They have the makings of having a decent defense for awhile, but I don't see what else they'll have.  They'll have 2 high-priced 30+ WRs in Adams and Lazard to go with Wilson and an underperforming and rather underwhelming RB in Breece Hall.

NYJ just fired the head coach, the GM is next if they don’t win. If this move gives the team a spark, then the trade is worth it. If it does nothing, why would the GM care about a pick he won’t be using?

So it's a good move for the GM. Still a bad move for the long-term prospects of the team.

Settling the latest lawsuit against Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson won’t end the league’s investigation. It nevertheless short circuits it.

Speaking at the conclusion of Tuesday’s quarterly ownership meeting in Atlanta, Commissioner Roger Goodell said the league continues to investigate the allegation of sexual assault and battery, filed on September 10, 2024.

Goodell going to do the Browns a favor and make it so the club can void Watson's contract....?
