IT - Simmons - Fournier - Isaac - Vuc Would leave Augustin, Ross, Hezonja, Biz, and a top 5 draft pick coming off the bench Idk just throwing ideas out there, do we really believe Gordon is gonna blow up? He's missed a lot of time yet has shown steady improvement, are we sure he's worth the max? The cap raises 22 million in the 2019-20 as well and Ross and Vuc's deals would be over which would give us another ~23 mil. Expiring contracts are also sought after so maybe we could get something for Biz that year too. I think by the 2019-20 season we can really make some noise. I've got a feeling Hezonja is gonna turn into a nice rotational player that can stretch the floor. He's shooting 46% and 35% from 3 and his 3 point % is only gonna go up. Pick the right player you'll have a top 5 pick (almost) no matter what. Picking the right player at whatever selection will be your catalyst to the whole rebuild. Drafting the wrong guy, letting Gordon walk for nothing, and signing guys like Mario/IT to big money has been typical Magic business the last idk 5 years or so. Paying Gordon is a good idea but giving big money outside of 1 year deals is silly for the Magic, free some space for the 2019 free agent class, build around Gordon/2018 draft selection. Attract a big fish who misses out. Likely become a top 4 eastern conference team. Klay Thompson, imo, the guy that is likely imo to break up Golden States greatness. For more money, and ego, I can see something similar happening with him that happened with Kyrie Irving. He's definitely in the shadow's of everyone at Golden State despite being an incredible great player/shooter himself.
