Do you not like Wydermyer because of the slow pro day 40?

he tested poorly across the board. I'd still be okay looking at him late rounds or UDFA but between his testing and his actual film out there, I don't know how anyone could comfortably project him as much more than a low-end TE2 at best

Yeah you are right.  I took a closer look after I replied to you and his testing was god awful.  I just remember him going in the 2nd or 3rd in a lot of mocks during the season...  Not so much now I imagine.

Reminds me of Jared pickney from vandy.   Everyone thought he was solid had a down year and followed with a bad workout (4.9 40)

If we don't trade down I'm leaning towards edge rusher.  I'm not good at projecting how good edge rushers are going to be, but if they think hutch or Thibs will be the next premier pass rushers, gotta take them.  Going to cost to much if we need to add pass rushers via FA or trade in the 2023 season.  Would be nice to have a guy on a rookie contract.

hutch to me is more of a 3-4 DE then a true edge.  watch the tape and hes way Stiffer then his measurables lead you to think.

if you want an Edge you probably want thibs.

darkshot: Adam Anderson Georgia(dude has rape allegations but tested well).

travon walker is interesting but i like him as a 3-4 DE.

Johnson is fine. a touch stiff.

I wouldn't be mad taking Calvin Austin III wr from Memphis at 33.

Dude reminds me of Tyreek hill from a measurable standpoint

I feel like comparing guys purely from a "measurables standpoint", is how you can get some really bad misses.  Yes, Tyreek's measurables are part of what allows him to be a special player.  But it's his actual feel for the game and sense of space and timing on the field that sets him apart as effective...compared to the legions of other little "quick and fast" guys out there who don't amount to nothing.

calvin austin is a stud tho. hes not just a Measurtables guy.  the dude has actual production Back to back 1k yard seasons with 8+ tds.

there would be 0 problems taking him.

He's got talent, for sure.  But i don't see at all the same type of hands, vision, or awareness as a Tyreek Hill type.  And of course he's going to have production.  That Memphis offense is like the epitome of the "gimmicky college spread offense".  So many manufactured yards just with scheme.

Man that’d be a mistake. This guy came out of absolutely nowhere…because his combine was so much better than his game field. In spite of being on an all-time defense the guy just never produced. He looks like the 3rd best defensive player on his own defense. No pass rush moves to speak of. Don’t overthink it Jags…please
