Tough break. I think virtually all Ravens fans agree the value Fort brings as a veteran, versatile rotational LB who plays well and disciplined within the system.

He came up big for us in some games. Hate to see this happen to the guy.

Unfortunate. It sucks for him, and I liked him out there for coverage and all-around play. It didn't seem like the team or the league valued him as much as I would have thought though, given we were able to cut and bring him back for so cheap.

Have to think after this injury and with the depth we have at edge, we could see Tyus Bowser used a lot more in some ILB type looks. He’s our best cover LB and with Fort out, we’ll have a stronger reliance on what he can offer in that capacity.

Tyus doesn't have the best tackling when taking longer pursuit angles, and in general isn't a force as a finisher. It's his biggest weakness imo. We saw him have a tackle broken last night too, that led to a 15-20 yard gain. Past that he's a great player overall, had a pressure that led to Deshon's Sack and his coverage directly led to Chris Smith's Sack's too. Also, his tackling is somewhat stronger around the LOS. And while I think he can serve as obviously a coverage specialist and emergency ILB, it's probably better to just keep him at SAM. 

I actually think we could see an extra Safety kept now. I trust Deshon Elliot and Chuck Clark in the box more than I do our back of the roster LBs. Rotate one of our young guys in at FS and bring Elliot/Clark down to $LB.

While it sucks to lose Fort, it is good to know that Harrison has earned his way clear-cut starter status. If there were any doubts about him, I think Fort would be mentioned as a starting candidate. But it seems the coaching staff is pretty confident in Harrison.

Much better idea than mine. I like the idea of an extra safety as a $LB considering we’ve had very strong play from the safety position.
