Some good news, the team is saying that Kemp will be on the week#1 roster. Some paperwork shuffling is required.

Tyrann Mathieu is going to COVID list. No word yet on how long.

I found it strange that Mathieu sat by himself on the sideline during the Minnesota game. Somebody knew something then maybe?

I didn't catch that but I would be very surprised if anyone knew. There's be some hefty fines/suspensions handed out of so.

I suppose he maybe wasn't feeling 100% and had a suspicion 🤷

We now have the reason that they kept six LB. Willie Gay will miss at least three weeks with turf toe. How the snaps come down will be interesting. Bolton may get thrown into the fire or they may go with Niemann or Darius Harris.

It's too bad they had to wait until after cuts to make the move, but if Gay had been put on IR any earlier, he would be out the whole season. More than ay offseason in memory, roster day was chaotic. Chris Lammons was told he was cut and had left the building. It sounds like a lot of the cuts went down to the wire.

Here is a look at the options without Wille Gay. The author is as confused as anyone. The base three is clearly Anthony Hitchens, Ben Niemann, Nick Bolton. Dime is just Niemann. Pairing on the sub packages is open to question.

Expect LDT to practice this week. Possible Austin Blythe as well.

Creed Humphrey gets some pre-season honors. What they don't know about Trey Smith yet will hurt them.

HC Reid had comments on several subjects ahead of Sunday's game.

Clyde and Darrel Williams will play.

Tyrann Mathieu still on CVID list. We have confirmation that he is fully vaccinated.

The latest depth chart, for what it may be worth.
https://chiefswire.usatoday.com/lists/kansas-city-chiefs-release-first-depth-chart-2021-regular-season/

This one has three players who should have a much bigger role--Pringle, Wharton, Danna. I agree with all three.

Good catch. The depth charts are done by FO types, not the coaching staff, so they tend to be a bit behind. It's nice to that they have finally entered this decade.

Note that DRob is still in the WR mix.

There is another article on our TEs. I'll post in the general offense thread.

Seems the coaching staff is confident the front 4 can limit the opponent's running game.

A front four of Clark/Nnadi/Reed/Danna can do exactly that and still have pressure.

Clark was limited in practice. we may see a lot of Danna.
