Big blow to our defense. While he lacks the athleticism to be a top 5 linebacker, he is criminally underrated. Very very smart and instinctual player.

Grim. One of my favourite players.

Such a smart player, and an underrated athlete. And, he got the injury on Punt Coverage when he's a 3 down LB ........ Not a good look for our Coaching staff.

Given how absolutely dominant he looked in that role and how the coverage team did not look nearly as put together after his injury, I get why he was out there. But yeah, that's one the staff should have to answer for; why does a starting LB need to be on the coverage team and be put at unnecessary risk?

Well, now get a "must-see" what we have in Strnad, Griffin (time to evaluate that trade) and/or Browning.  And as was pointed out, didn't we acquire Griffin for his standout ST play ??? Perhaps it isn't the players on ST as much as it is the ST coach, McMahon is TERRIBLE !!

Evidently it's the same thing they had Navarro Bowman doing back in the day.

I know why they WANTED him out there. The same reason we'd want Justin Simmons out there. But, we were smart enough to not put Simmons out there for the same reason Jewell shouldn't have been.
