21. Another prospect I would gamble on every single time is Eric Stokes, who is also a major hit. Elite speed, teams staying away from him in the SEC, and Kirby Smart saying he's the smartest DB he's ever coached?! Sign me up. Never thought he would be this good this fast. I really feel comfortable going up against anyone. His speed is not just workout speed, and translates onto the field. Even when he gives up completions, he seems to be in a good position. Once he feels confident in his positioning and gets his head up a pinch quicker, I think he's going to be as good as anyone.

I'm ready for people to eat crow on him.  Especially the ones who thought Tyson Campbell was better.

You’re bigger on the draft than I am.

When I hear a CB with elite speed, who is incredibly smart and didn’t get challenged much , that sounds like a top 15-20 guy easy, someone is def gamble on.

why were people so luke-warm on him. His hips don’t look bad, and aren’t most young DBs a tad grabby ?

A ***29 point*** list and there's nothing to really disagree about???
Either Rainmakers gotta up the "controversial level" or you've gotta stop being so agreeable :)

🤣 seriously, wtf is wrong with me.

I thought I’d get killed for the ‘call a Fair catch regardless’ take.

Pretty much.  And it was a pretty strong CB class too.  You had Caleb Farley, Jaycee Horn, and Patrick Surtain as top CBs in the class.  Stokes was a top 20 prospect.

Caleb Farley really ruined that night for me. I had him over the 23rd pick and Tennessee took him 22.

Didn’t think people would take him with the injury history

Medicals were everything for him.  Never really thought he would be on Green Bay's board because of that, but the talent was obvious.  If he didn't have the medical concerns, he was a top 5 prospect.  Surtain was the cleanest prospect, Horn had best combination of everything, and Farley was the upside play.

I was really meh on Stokes so glad he's been better than I thought. My late 1st Rd guy at CB was Samuel and he's been pretty damn good too. Those are probably the top 2 rookie CBs other than the top guys like Surtain.

Really on polar opposites as prospects go.  Samuel was more instinctive with better ball skills,  but he was limited physically.  If he didn't translate right away, he was going to be out of the league quickly.  Stokes had the skills, but needed time to develop.  He's definitely developed faster then I thought.

Stokes' biggest thing right now is learning not to panic when he needs to make a play on the ball. The coverage skills are there but we've seen him look bad on reacting to a couple big plays (McLaurin and Jefferson). If he can correct that, that moves him from being "good" to "elite" in this league.

I have been advocating for that for years.  Sad that I am longing for the days of Antonio "Fair Catch" Chatman on punt returns.  We have an MVP quarterback, just don't screw it up!

Yup, that's why I thought Samuel was more plug and play, even if the ceiling is shorter and figured Stokes would basically need a redshirt year before seeing any type of results. Glad he's come along much quicker on a team that needs him to be good right now, especially without 23.

I think we’re saying thing, I just think ‘panic’ isn’t the best way to describe it. He needs to trust his speed, positioning and get his head up just a tick quicker.

Seriously. Idt the incredible 10-15 yard return that probably will get called back anyway is worth turning the ball over.

hell, put Davante back there and just tell him to catch the ball and be done with it 🤣🤣

I feel like GB at their best beats DAL at their best, and there is a decent amount of margin for error.

To me, DAL is one of the more overrated teams in the league.  It's good for the league when DAL is a good team, so any time they are even decent, the talking heads give them plenty of hype.

They pose problems when their o-line and 3 WR's are healthy. Micah Parsons is a fricking stud too.
