Raiders/Browns game postponed until Monday

You keep acting like the Eagles were scheduled and treated the entire weeks worth of prep for a Monday Night game, why?

They prepared all week for a Sunday 1pm start. Meaning Tuesday-Sat were already scripted. No days off, no extra day rest because it was MNF, Tuesday-Friday.

Whether players adapt to MNF or TNF means absolutely nothing in this scenario. The NFL just wasted the Raiders time having 90% of the Browns players still inactive and in turn screwed the Browns too on short rest by not playing on Sunday.

What's even more comical is the idea the NFL is trying to sell that no one playing today for the Browns is contagious! They won't infect any Raider players. 👌 Lets see how many pop positive tomorrow or Thursday.

Just like the Rams and WTF will do vs their opponents. This rescheduling in no way helps the opponents and is without a doubt a hindrance.

I imagine they could have had Sunday or Monday off then, so yes, still some extra days off. Whether the coaching staff handled it that way is another thing, but again, the time was there for them to have days off.

What would you have done instead?

-Forfeit - nope, Eagles/Raiders/Seahawks players would not want to lose alllllll that money. Probably a combined $50-ish million that players would lose just on their end, over $100 million total between all six teams - players union would flip out considering all involved were vaxed

-Cancel - see above

-Play on Sunday anyways - some guys would have had to have played both offense and defense for Rams at least - not really safe

-Let all players play who have no symptoms and play on Sunday - then every player gets infected on both teams

So what is your better solution?

What if the extra time is to continue to test and try to contain the outbreak so that when the teams play there's a reduced chance of spreading it even further?  Maybe it's not about getting players back but it's about making sure every player that's infected is identified.

It sucks making them play on a short week but it's better than the Raiders or Eagles losing half their roster next week because covid positive players and personnel slipped through the cracks.

Zero doubt in my mind, this will still occur.
