Typical Notre Dame fan who selectively cherry picks historical narratives. Blue probably thought Manti Teo got screwed out of the Heisman 10 years ago. ;)

Smith was a runaway vote that year. Who else deserved it?

I probably would have given it to McFadden in 2006

Ray Rice ran for 2,000 yards in a season at Rutgers he should've been made president.

These are the only correct answers and no one but Ohio State homers would claim otherwise.

It's not my fault you don't know the difference between 2006 and 2007.

It might help if RFAs and ERFAs that were just signed back to your own team could be traded or cut. But maybe not until the season starts, to cut down on sign and trades.

I'd be in favor of being able to release these players but not so much for trading them.  I ran into issues with this with tcmd where teams would just resign these players just to turn around and trade them.  It would deplete the FA pool.

Another idea would be to allow something along the lines of the early June 1st rule.  Allowing us to release 2 players, where we can split the cost of the release into 2 seasons to free up cap space for the current year.

It sounds like most don't see the current system as having a problem and I don't want to buck the system.

Absolutely no one but Florida homers would complain if Tim Tebow, one of the most overrated players in college football history, did not win the Heisman.

Friendly reminder that Urban Meyer played Tim Tebow and JT Barrett over #1 overall picks Cam Newton and Joe Burrow

tbh I just take issue with the Heisman voters automatically throwing the QB of the (perceived?) best team in the country into the pool. Cheapens the whole process to me.

I used to enjoy the "process more" from a geographical voter standpoint as well, where the "2nd place votes" almost always decided the candidate.

I miss the days where you could have some elite RB, WR, or occasional superstar/future HOF defensive players and/or OL like Charles Woodson and Orlando Pace getting votes/the trophy.

Larry Fitzgerald almost won it on a lousy Pitt team.

Granted, the evolution of the running quarterback in a spread system with a lot of throwing also skewed things with guys like Cam, Johnny Manziel, RG3, etc., but still.

It's unbelievable guys like Jadeveon Clowney, JJ Watt, etc. really have zero chance of winning the Heisman because they play defense. Ndamukong Suh getting anywhere close seems like a miracle in hindsight.
