They just don't want to look awful trading for their original pick.
KingOfNewYork
Would you guys prefer Stefan Diggs or Justin Jefferson. This includes factoring in age, contract, skill set, scheme fit.

BUF had no clue they’d be able to draft Jefferson at 22 that year.

Only team taking a WR before 10 is Atlanta.

KingOfNewYork
In a perfect world Mims finds his game and we draft a stud at 10(Williams). And I still want McBride in the 2nd. Davis, Moore, Berrios, Mims, Williams, Uzomah, Conklin and McBride
rickyt31
Im starting to feel like Jameson Williams is the next big WR from the SEC. I'm going to need someone to break down why he wouldn't be as good as them.

If he didn't have the ACL injury this board would have as the unanimous WR1 and would be scared of Atlanta drafting him before us.

Agreed. Unless we do trade for a WR, I'm locked in at DE & Williams for the first 2 picks.
KimuraGod
Do we think we could get cute and trade up from #35 back into the mid first for Williams or do you all think he will be gone. What with the injury and all most mock drafts have him as the third or fourth receiver taken so potentially he could be there to trade up for. ACL tear definitely scares me because the odds of re-tearing greatly increase once you tear it, but I honestly dont even care, draft him.

And add the risk that that WR might not ever be good like a proven talent. How many WRs are better than Diggs? Jefferson is one of a handful at most. It's a small concern for me because I can't think of a lot of WRs who repeatedly tore it. I know it just happened to Odell, but I can't think of anyone else in recent years

For me he’s so good he’s worth that risk. And 1 TC and a few games is nothing over the course of a whole 1st round rookie contract.

I think the only WRs we could even think about trading up for that “might” drop are Burks and Olave. If either are there in the 22 or later area. We should think about it.
