BullsandBroncos
Does judge strike you all as someone that would rather have money than a ring? Like 500 milly with the tigers or a little less with a cotender?
kokichi
The Braves/Mets race for the division is going to be intense down the line. Only real race left and its for a bye too Edited September 21, 2022 by kokichi

Not a given but he’s hitting .380 his last 30 games

redsoxsuck05
Anyway, Judge is having the best non-Bonds year since baseball was the #1 sport and actually had the best athletes. The sport has been losing guys like Judge to football and basketball for the last half-century, so it's nice to have a throwback and see the upper bounds on what is possible for a hitter to achieve. He's huge and already in his 30s. he basically bet on himself staying healthy for the first time in what, 7 years? And good for him, he finally stayed healthy. Doubt he does for long unless he becomes a DH.

Unless he's getting $75M a year he'll be a massive bargain for the first couple years of his deal, plus idgaf if Hal cries poor. I also don't agree with the conventional wisdom that Judge is going to age terribly just because he's big and has had a few minor injuries that he's fully recovered from. Best predictor of future performance is your current performance! Well, there's more reasons in thinking that he wont hold up other than because he's big. The main one being he's been injured a ton in his younger years, which usually means it's only going to get worse.

But if the Yanks don't pay the man then Hal and Randy Levine should end up with their heads on pikes, figuratively speaking of course! No Judge equals no playoffs for the next half decade. redsoxsuck05
Well Randy Levine deserves a lot of bad things regardless of whether they resign Judge. Lmao
redsoxsuck05
Btw Oswaldo Cabrera has a beautiful left-handed swing. Wouldn't be surprised if he ends up better than Persia or Volpe.
