Don’t like the trade for the wolves, Rudy is extremely over paid. Should’ve just let the young team grow naturally and use the money better else where.

What young pieces were ever going to grow naturally into an elite interior presence on D? Jarred Vanderbilt? Walker Kessler and a horde of mediocre first round picks?

We all know Gobert's flaws, but he never had the talent + fit that KAT provides. As I said, it also lets KAT play to his strengths more.

What do you mean?? KAT is actually more effective guarding the perimeter than the rim, and he's the best floor spacing big in the NBA.

He’s not a good enough perimeter defender to guard behind Rudy who is absolutely useless 2 feet away from the basketball. KAT is going to spend a lot of time out on an island.

Isn't getting the best 2 feet away from basket defender the best remedy for KAT getting beaten while defending on an island?

All I'm arguing is that KAT is one of the guys least likely to get in the way of Gobert because they don't play in the same area and have basically reverse strengths and weaknesses. Gobert and Favors? That was rough. Who the hell was even the 4 for the Jazz the last couple of years?

You don’t need an elite interior presence on D in todays NBA, hasn’t helped the jazz in the playoffs at all.  He will be useless going up against a team like GS.

Traded away 30% of their rotation from last season.

Gobert is better than Vanderbilt and Beasley is bad. Bev hurts but you gotta give to get, right? And you're not guaranteed to get the same old Bev when he's approaching his mid 30s.
