NFL should eliminate Special Teams plays.

It might not literally account for one third of the plays in the game but it probably does account for one third of the jobs in the NFL. Replacing them with more backups who would never see the field won't help players. Good special teams players can show their mettle and then work their way up to a big pay day. Having them be a 5th LB that never plays does not afford them the same opportunity.

“A third” lmfao.

how many special teams plays are run a game compared to actual gameplay?

Yet special teams account for the most times scoring.

Scoring is important, whether extra point or FG. Sure there aren't many punt/kick return TDs anymore but kicking is a 3rd of the game even if it isn't a third of the plays.

I wouldn't be surprised if fans of teams with bad special teams would just start a topic to try to get them eliminated because they are important and their team isn't good at them.

Oh wait...

What do you mean?  It is because they are overrated and might get injured, not because my team is bad at special teams.  Special teams players aren't even people.  It should be just a bunch of dogs out there running around.

If the NFL is really serious in attracting new demographics this would be a great idea.

We've seen puppies do it why not throw out 22 trained Border Collies out there and see what happens.
