I will say this is the most impressed I've been with Mac just in terms of toughness because that man gets hit a LOT.

Toughness, sure. Mental and physical, dude’s been through a lot with some bad playcalling and a heavily regressed (and now pretty heavily injured) OL. He’s looked pretty bad though, you guys are going to steamroll us x2 this year lol.

Yeah like I'm not saying he looked good lol, he didn't, he's looked bad all year and justifiably so, but in terms of sheer "how is that dude not dead", played about as well as you could expect.

Oof. Cam’s toolbox largely revolved around his size/running ability too (also had a big arm, but was inaccurate).

When was the last toolsy, one year wonder passer that’s ever worked out and turned into a good passer? Gets harder lol.

If we're calling Wilson a college one year wonder, then I think you have to call Matt Ryan one as well.  Ryan definitely isn't going top 5 without his 2007 season.

What about Carson Palmer?  Granted I guess it depends on how "toolsy" of a QB we're looking for, but Palmer had a big arm and at the time was everything you looked for in a QB.

Lawrence has his weaknesses and issues but maaaaaaaaan is it stark watching him and watching everybody else from that QB class lol.

I’m just glad Trevor has gotten better. Zach is still the same/worse. Jets are 6-4 but knowing you don’t have a QBOTF would make me sick.

Carson fits IMO. Ryan fits one year wonder, but not toolsy/project status, IMO. It’s all subjective though. Mahomes and Allen (and Hebert to a lesser degree) have done immense damage to the QB position, they all came in at virtually the same time and every team is going to want their version. But the truth is these guys who are big, strong, fast, and can throw on a dot while falling to their left…are not all common.

Literally the only thing he has improved upon thus far is that he didn't run 20 yards backwards every other passing play. That's literally it. He doesn't do anything well despite having playmakers all over the offense. Man's can't even sustain drives to keep his defense off the field or to make sure the offense doesn't start at midfield all game long. Doesn't even have the decency to be a good locker room guy teammates want to rally around. He's been the worst or near the bottom in every major statistical category as a passer since he's been in the league

I wasn't a Wilson believer coming into the draft, but I haven't had a ton of time to watch him since he came into the league. Today's game was illuminating. He's still all over the place mechanically, and his footwork in particular is shockingly messy.

Some circus music added to this would be good.

As someone who didn't watch the game... wow.  Some of those misses. The worst might have been the would-be check down to #10.  But they were all bad.  To the point where I don't know how a coach looks his team in the eye and confidently says this man gives you the best chance to win.  Flacco was averaging 300 yards per game.  Say what you want about him but he'll sling it, good or bad.  Jets need something.
