So yes there’s a timeline Not only would we look very silly turning to JG now but it would mean his contract would be astronomical as he’d have us over a barrel. I think the closer it gets to FA the more likely he is to retire. I find it hard to believe he doesn’t have a decision already made. He’s playing a game with something now. I follow football and frankly the Jets have sucked...for any number of reasons. That's simple fact. Thats not one fan giving it to another. The Jets have been AFCE doormats ever since the time or Ryan (whenever the hell that was). We're approaching this from opposite ends of the spectrum. We've been perennial playoff contenders - the Jets - not so much. I just think it's time for a change in GB. I'll take my chances with Love and a reconstructed salary cap situation. Frankly, I thought you guys would work it out with Carr....and I'm glad that fell apart for whatever reason. AR definitely gives you a shot at relevancy again. There needs to be a deadline and although I would have thought that would have been friday/Saturday it’s still dragging on. He’s done all the winning in GB, won mvps and a superbowl. So that’s a relationship which has to be handled delicately.
