He’s not an elite QB but we still haven’t replaced his production at the position and it going on 4 years since we didn’t re-sign him. It’s like people being glad we didn’t re-sign Orakpo, but until we drafted Montez Sweat 5 years later we hadn’t replaced Rak’s production at ROLB/RDE and we had to spent 3 picks (three 2nd round picks) before we drafted Sweat. I 100% believe it Kirk is on our team now that we have 10 wins this year w/ his passing and our defense. So far, we’ve spent a 3rd, Kendall Fuller for 2 years, a 6th, a 1st and a 5th trying to replace Kirk and we haven’t done it yet. Just like with Rak, we’re spending a lot of drsft capital trying to find another QB who can at least be as good as Kirk was. Kirk has been on much more talented teams in Minnesota than he ever was here with better defenses and still has done a bunch of nothing. He’s a loser. He’s a loser. His defense has regressed every year he’s gone there. He only plays one side of the ball. His D gave up 52 points & 260 yards rushing and 7 rushing TDs. The Vikings defense was elite #1 in 2017 or close to it and as someone who is very knowledgeable on football as you are, I know you know that and I know you know that they’ve lost a lot of talent on their D the last two years which has effected their entire record. It can’t be ignored that they haven’t been as good on D since 2017. This year the Vikings D was pretty bad bc they couldn’t keep their top 3 corners from 2016-2019, Anthony Barr tore his pec and was out for the year, Linval Joseph their NT retired, they didn’t keep Everson Griffen and Daniel Hunter their best DL tore his ACL. Mike Zimmer said this years Vikings defense was the worst he’s ever coached. In order to win you need to be good on both sides of the ball, they weren’t this year.
