would you guys want shaq barrett if I can land him for a mid round pick?

If he is healthy, I'd take a chance since Lawson is gone.  If his prognosis is questionable, pass.  It is an odd numbered year so he should get double digit sacks in 2023.

Grab him.  See if you can unload any dead weight if you haven’t already in the deal. Maybe, say, Tomlinson?

Looks like Tampa guy doesn't know much about the cap. He already restructured Barrett so the deal would have sent him massively into salary cap hell. May be better off with him coming off the torn acl

I'd pass on Barrett. I think we resign Huff we're good at DE with Huff, JFM, JJ and Clemons. Spend that money and draft capital elsewhere. Upgrade the OL, WR, LB and S.

We picked up OBJ and Brian Allen to play center.  Brought back Alexander, working on safeties this round.   Made a run at McGlinchey but got outbid so the offensive line category is pretty barren now.  Likely gonna have to be a draft situation.

OK we picked up all our stage two targets on cheap deals. I'm also trading away Denzel Mims cause he sucks for a mid round pick

Brought in

Derek Carr for a sixth   round pick on his old contract QB1

Signed Damien Harris to act as a backup pairing with Carter if Breece isn't healthy

Signed OBJ as a home run play opposite Wilson

WR Jamison Crowder for depth

Signed RT Jermaine Eluemanor. Was excellent with Vegas last year, Carr recommendation

C Brian Allen as a veteran O line prescense with super bowl experience. Not a stud but not a liability

G/C Max Garcia for interior o line depth

Edge Robert Quinn to basically play the Lawson role for 15 percent of the price

Resigned Sheldon Rankins to a cheapish deal. Had a nice season.  Will compete with new signing Akiem Hicks for work inside

int Jonah Williams as depth, looked solid filling in for multiple rams last year

Resigned Kwon Alexander to do his role from last year again

Safety Harrison Smith signed for half what we were paying whitehead

Safeties Geno Stone and Kareem Jackson to battle for other starting safety gig

Resigned Greg the leg

Cuts

Corey Davis

Carl Lawson

Braxton Berrios

Jordan Whitehead

OK all. Free agency basically done with. Headed into the draft. Have a little money left I can spend but might hold onto it.  See if I can find anything out there. I updated depth chart with offseason moves summary in post directly above this one . I'm liking how it's come together

BPA seems reasonable (except Carter because I despise that POS, but that's a personal thing).  I'd like to address LB but round 1 may be too early.  I like Meyers at TE, but we already have 3.  Skoronski or best OG to replace Tomlinson? Trade down?  It's actually kind of nice not having a major glaring hole to fill in this scenario.

Not sure if any of you actually care..lol.  But we picked up Brian Branch for S in round 1 and Jack Campbell at LB  in round 2

Two good gets. Branch is more of a FS, yes?  What’s are you looking at next?

Yes.  He can also play nickel corner in a pinch

Next is prob just trying to find some interior o line depth I guess, maybe an edge or just do something crazy and draft hooker to sit for two years behind Carr
