Week 7 is in the books for your XFL season.  It is time to name the X(FL) Packer of the week!

Sal Canella - 4 rec, 64 yards

Chris Blair - 5 rec, 139 yards, 1 TD

Fadol Brown - 3 tackles, 4 assists, 1 sack, 2 TFL

Kentrell Brice - 2 tackles, 1 assist

Ralleigh Texada - 3 tackles

Jack Heflin - 1 assist

Kurt Benkert - 22/31, 179 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, 2 rush, 7 yards, 1 fumble

Alize Mack - 3 rec, 28 yards

Delontae Scott - 5 tackles, 2 assists, 1.5 sacks, 2 TFL, 1 FF

Darrius Shepherd - 7 rec, 70 yards, 1 TD, 3 returns 45 yards

Geronimo Allison - 3 rec, 49 yards

Well this was a bounce back week for a lot of our former players.  The weekly award could probably go to Blair, Brown, Scott, or Shepherd.  Benkert was also a lot better with a week of action under his belt, but still turned the ball over twice.  In the interest of spreading the love around, I am naming Chris Blair your X(FL) Packer of Week 7!

  • 2 weeks later...

Well, we are through Week 8, and entering week 9.  It is amazing how prompt I am in getting these things out if I actually get to watch the Battlehawks or not.  When I don't, there is quite a delay.  Anyhow, here are how our X(FL) Packers did in week 8:

Chris Blair - 5 rec, 148 yards, 1 TD

Kentrell Brice - 2 tackles

Fadol Brown - 1 tackle

Jack Heflin - 4 tackles, 4 assists, 1 TFL, 1 sack

Raleigh Texada - 2 tackles, 2 assists

Chauncey Rivers - 1 tackle, 1 assist, 1 TFL, 1 sack

Alize Mack - 5 rec, 36 yards

Delontae Scott - 2 tackles, 2 TFL, 1 sack

Darrius Shepherd - 2 rec, 23 yards, 4 returns, 72 yards

Geronimo Allison - 2 rec, 44 yards, 1 TD

There were a few good games here, but I think there were two standouts.  Chris Blair put up a hell of a game, just a tick better than his POW, week last week.  It is good to see that both Blair and Shepherd are finding their niche.  But in the interest of spreading the love, I am going to name Jack Heflin the X(FL) Packer of week 8.  Heflin had 8 tackles as a DT, which is amazing.

Week 9 is in the books!  Let's take a look at our X(FL) Packers!

Sal Canella - 7 rec, 92 yards

Chris Blair - 2 rec, 32 yards

Kentrell Brice - 2 tackles, 1 assist, 0.5 sacks

Fadol Brown - 2 tackles, 1 assist

Raleigh Texada - 3 tackles, 1 assist

Chauncey Rivers - 1 tackle, 1 assist

Jack Heflin - 1 tackle, 1 assist

Alize Mack - 3 rec, 19 yards

Delontae Scott - 1 tackle, 2 assists, 1 sack, 1 TFL

Darrius Shepherd - 6 rec, 60 yards, 1 TD, 5 returns, 74 yards

Geronimo Allison - 6 rec, 60 yards

Not the greatest week for our X(FL) Packers.  I think this week is Darrius Shepherd pretty easily, again.

After the season he has had in the XFL, Shepherd should see at least a camp invite this summer.  Good for him.

Week 10, the final week of the XFL regular season is in the books.  Next weekend, the top two teams from each division play in the division championship, and the winners of that play in the Really Good Bowl*  (okay, I made that part up)

Let's see how the X(FL) Packers did this week!

Sal Canella - 3 rec, 41 yards

Chris Blair - 1 rec, 70 yards

Fadol Brown - 3 assists

Jack Heflin - 4 assists, 1 TFL

Raleigh Texada - 1 tackle, 1 PD

Chauncey Rivers - 2 tackles

Alize Mack - 3 rec, 29 yards

Darrius Shepherd - 6 rec, 96 yards, 1 TD, 5 returns, 132 yards

Delontae Scott - 2 assists

Geronimo Allison - 2 rec, 10 yards

Another week, and another Darrius Shepherd win.  He is one of the better players in this league, and I think he was probably in the mix for best X(FL) Packer of the week, each week.    SO, congrats to Darrius Shepherd!

So with the regular season ending, here are the stats per XFL.com for our X(FL) Packers.  I don't know where to find information on offensive linemen in this league, so I cannot tell how Michael Menet, Kyle Murphy, and George Moore have played.  Let's assume that they kicked a lot of butts.

Sal Canella - 41 rec, 393 yards

Chris Blair - 26 rec, 594 yards, 3 TD

Kentrell Brice - 20 tackles, 5 assists, 0.5 sacks, 1 INT

Fadol Brown - 9 tackles, 10 assists, 2.5 sacks, 5 TFL

Jack Heflin - 12 tackles, 13 assists, 1 sack, 3 TFL, 1 FR

Raleigh Texada - 18 tackles, 6 assists

Chauncey Rivers - 9 tackles, 7 assists, 2.5 sacks, 5 TFL

Alize Mack - 28 rec, 230 yards, 1 TD

Delontae Scott - 18 tackles, 18 assists, 7.5 sacks, 11 TFL, 2 FF

Kurt Benkert - 23/37, 181 yards, 1 TD, 2 INT, 2 fumbles

Darrius Shepherd - 48 rec, 519 yards, 6 TD, 37 kick returns, 907 yards

Brett Hundley - 37/69, 496 yards, 3 TD, 0 INT, 2 fumbles

Geronimo Allison - 23 rec, 259 yards, 1 TD

-Darrius Shepherd is 4th in the league in receptions, 7th in yards, 3rd in receiving TDs and first in kick return yardage.

-Chris Blair is 3rd in the league in receiving yards despite being 21st in receptions.

-Delontae Scott is tied for 2nd in sacks, and 3rd in TFL.
