holt_bruce81
Also, let’s cut Dexter and call up Mercado. He and Bader can handle LF.
chris00cm
Why are we still bringing in Hicks when down by two. It's pretty obvious he's the best guy in the pen and should be closing by seasons end.
CWood21
EDIT: At this point, we've got an extra 23k to spend. Not a lot, but any little extra savings helps.

holt_bruce81
Guys, Joe Maddon is kind of a bad Manager now.
holt_bruce81
Jose Martinez going on paternity leave after tonight’s game and will be out for the Cubs Series. Voit will be recalled. Hope everything’s alright with Jose and his family.....but damn that sucks.

StLunatic88
9 game stretch VS the Marlins, the Reds and the Padres; Three of the worst teams in the NL (only the Mets are wose than SD) and we go 4-5? That is just terrible, that can not happen, and unfortunately there isnt just one magic bullet to fire to fix this team.

I wish more teams would do what you're referring to as a bad move. Saves relievers. I think in the future teams will get off this 5-man rotation norm, and start having a roster full of relievers that can play the matchups all game. It's cheap and really could be an effective way to attack a roster. Rotating pitchers into the field and then back on the mound would be a nice supplement to that approach. Rays are the pioneers of this movement, and I don't expect it to stop any time soon. Edited June 14, 2018 by chris00cm

CWood21
DAMN! That's big money. Must really like him. Should be interesting to see how they view him long-term. Give me a few minutes and I'll figure out where the Cardinals are in terms of money.
