🔥 Pick #100 is in: Tre Tucker, WR, Cincinnati

Didn't like this one. Seems early for where he was projected. Clearly want a gadget guy for the offense. What they tried to do with DJ Turner will be his role. Nice to have speed and the Raiders have needed a KR specialist forever.

Poor value from outside perspective.  But fits a role they clearly want.

I'm not going to cry over an extremely late 3rd rounder. I certainly would have gone elsewhere but he brings something we absolutely needed at WR and that is high-end speed. Not to mention a seemingly good returner.

So be it. Just hope we hone in on G, CB and LB now. We have 7 more damn picks. Relax.

I don’t understand how people like you can be so blind to how poorly we draft year in and year out… it’s always this blinded optimism.  But it’s always a failure in the end.

As well as the player being a reach, the type of player is also at least 2 rounds too early imo. When Ziegler started talking about his return and special teams ability, it sounded like he was breaking down a much later pick.

When did a gadget guy w/special teams experience become a 3rd round pick? Hard to imagine this doesn’t have McDs hands all over it.

And while I’m not gonna let this pick affect my opinion too much on this FO, as I love the first 2 rounds and don’t mind Young, you have to think that the dynamic between McD and Zeig affects the big board prioritising

Calvin Austin was a much much better gadget type WR and was drafted in the 4th last year… just for comparison sakes.

I'm not blind to it. I've admitted I would have gone elsewhere here even. But you won't see me throwing an enourmous hissy fit, renouncing my fandom, asking for Ziegler's head on a platter, crying to the skies what have we done to deserve such football pain... all because the last two 3rd round picks weren't slam dunks like our first two were.

People let their emotions get the best of them and don't think before they type. I garantee you if we draft Ring, Phillips, etc next Raider Nation will come together, act like they didn't just have a meltdown 12 hours ago and praise the draft again.

This fanbase is bipolar.

Talk hyperbole.  Holy cow!
We had some good picks, but we really blew round 3… and I think it’ll end up costing us.  Doesn’t mean I’m quitting being a Raiders fan.  I’ve been through 29 nfl drafts as a fan… a few have been good, But most were poor to horrible.  I haven’t quit yet.
when you have to bring it to that level of extreme hyperbole of the opposing viewpoint you’ve already lost the argument.

I've been through 16 and been an active poster long before you have dating back to the old forum. I have seen it all. The reactions such as @NYRaider saying he's done with this team and how he won't be around until training camp seems like hyperbole, right? Good talk. See you at pick 109 when we set this franchise back another 3 years!!!

And there not measly worthless 3rd round picks…

last week they were suppose to be 2 of 4 starters on defense

we traded Waller for a 3rd string Slot WR.

Your projecting other peoples behavior onto me, which isn’t fair.  If @NYRaiderwants to leave he can… I like the guy and all, but that’s his choice…

my issue is the bootlicking of clearly bad picks.  We see it every year.  It’s beyond debating most knowledgeable fans have out drafted numerous FO’s for this team for decades…. And this year is no different.

Also, when I asked if we should add a speedy (possibly slot) WR everyone was against it…

”Jimmy G doesn’t throw deep”

”we signed Carter”

Etc

now that we draft Tucker we start rationalizing the pick as being a good one.

What does Tucker provide that Carter and/or Dorsett don’t?

Your asking the wrong guy… I’m asking the same question.
I thought he was one of a handful of WRs that would have made good 6th-7th picks… take a flier on developing a guy or maybe he beats out Carter, etc.

but not in the 3rd!
