AFlaccoSeagulls
We're about halfway through the season and our offensive ranks are: YPG: 11th Rushing YPG: 5th Passying YPG: 24th PPG: 15th If you showed me these numbers and asked who the OC was, I'd probably Greg Roman. Panic(Mental Mistakes) and poor execution sets in and emboldens the opposition as the game goes on. Talent not playing to the peak of their abilities consistently falls on the coaches. SalvadorsDeli
I know he had a bad drop against Indy but particularly with how underwhelming Bateman has been, think it's time for Monken to change things up a bit and try to get Likely more involved on offense. He's coming off a lisfranc injury that ended his season last year, and injured then re-tweaked his hamstring this year. Two of the most debilitating issues for a WR to be dealing with. Definitely sucks Bate hasn't had a great start to the year but fans are starting to go way overboard in their assessment of him. Talent doesn't just evaporate and Rashod certainly isn't the only receiver to drop a ball this season. Likely had a big drop and a quiet start to the year- should we trade him too? This all or nothing stuff has to stop. OBJ, Agholor, and Duve are all on the last year of their deals. In what universe would trading Bateman, the only other WR on the roster besides Zay Flowers we control beyond 23', be a good idea? All offseason fans screeched about WRs, and now we're suddenly in a position to be sellers? No thanks. If Rashod still hasn't done anything of note by the end of the year then we can talk, but beyond that there's nothing to discuss. He's playing a reduced role as he comes back from multiple injuries. As he gets healthier and the opportunities increase he'll start to produce.

Its what year 3? and hes still not struggling to be available, bate not good aghlor was wr3 on the pats last year and is better then him that tells a lot, hes not going to get paid here

Imagine my shock. Young players go through growing pains and players dealing with injuries often struggle, that's just how it works. How many people wanted to trade Patrick Queen when he was struggling? Or even wanted Brandon Stephens cut? Now those guys are fan favorites. It takes time, and smart clubs let players develop/grow. This is all ridiculous too because if Bateman caught that one TD pass no one would even be mentioning him negatively. One drop doesn't define a WR, just as one INT doesn't define a QB, or one missed block doesn't define a lineman. Let Bateman get healthy and reacclimated, then analyze his play through the correct lens.

He was full go this off-szn no excuses he's just not good, bate hasnt played in the slot also? nelly hasnt played outside also? talk crazy on the manager and still has yet to back it up, this is year my man has produced 882 rec yards in 3 years, zay is on pace to break that in his rookie year, the best ability is availability no excuses for injuries hes heading towards injury prone
