In reality, I don't think any of these would pan out well LOL.

That aside, why were you both not in on Johnny Early? He seems good to me from what I can tell however, I'm not familiar with 2k really.

When you get into the deep numbers with him he was pretty terrible.  He had great potential but his actual ratings like shooting, passing, rebounding, etc were so low I don't ever see him becoming much. Also he was kind of slow.

Wizards Receive

C Kai Jones (74)

2024 Bulls 1st Round Pick (lottery protected)

2025 Kings 1st Round Pick (lottery protected)

Neptunes Receive

2024 Wizards 1st Round Pick (unprotected)

I'm not really sure why the Wizards accepted this trade.  Probably because they're a horribly run organization.

*TRADE*

Suns Receive

SG Isaiah Joe (79)

Neptunes Receive

2025 Suns 1st Round Pick (unprotected)

2027 Suns 1st Round Pick (unprotected)

So I know this trade is ridiculous, but in this league there are no restrictions on trades (other than we can't trade for players higher than 75 and actually play them, you'd have to trade them immediately again). We have such other harsh restriction that I'm fine manipulating the cpu for draft picks cause that's the only way we can build a roster in this league.

*TRADE*

Jazz Receive

SF Patrick Baldwin (70)

2024 Pistons 1st Round Pick (unprotected)

2025 Suns 1st Round Pick (unprotected)

Neptunes Receive

2025 Jazz 1st Round Pick (unprotected)

2024 Jazz 2nd Round Pick

I decided to go with the Wizards 2024 pick instead of the Pistons, and per our rule we can only have 2 firsts so I packaged the Pistons pick to get me a future Jazz pick that might be pretty sweet next year.

@Flatlyner and I are in agreement that Jamal Powell is the greatest prospect we've ever seen in 2k. He's 6'9" with 99 SPD, 99 ACC, 82 VERT. His comp is Michael freaking Jordan.

To be fair with my pick of Aldridge at #5, MY scout told me a different story about him.  I assumed @MKnight82 would've been salivating over him too:

7 shooting badges, 91MR, 86 3p, 96 spd.

According to my scouts report, he was the best shooter in the draft with the 2nd most badges at time of draft.  I also think I have a good head scout, but then again, WTH do scouts need to have in this game to give accurate scouting reports?  Seems like nobody actually knows.

After drafting him he had:

7 shooting badges, 88 MR, 80 3p, 88 spd.

He honestly had higher defense then scout indicated, but nearly everything else was lower, at times considerably.  Disappointing for sure.

Now, on to winning the lottery for that animal Powell!

So an update on our lottery hopes, I have the Mav's unprotected 1st rounder, MK has Wizards.   Wizards are pretty bad, in fact, I had them as the worst team but MK already had their protected pick from a trade last season.  The Mavs, outside of Luka is the worst roster IMO.  If Luka goes down, they are a no brainer bottom 4 team, and they probably are even with him.  They lost Kyrie and only signed Vucevic.

Through the first 2 weeks of the season, Mavs 0-6, Wiz 5-4.   Hustlers have yet to win a game, 0-7. Neptunes have simmed a bit ahead and sit at 7-28.  Our teams match up in week 4, I won 108-107.    Stevenson had 23p, 12r and was 5-8 from 3p.  Jamison (my 2nd round pick) has so far been the surprise of the season and is outplaying Aldridge (my 5th overall).  He had 23p, 6r, 4assists and was 7-9 from 3p.

A quarter of the way through the season:

Mavs 10-20

Wizards 12-20

Neptunes 8-29

Hustlers 6-25

Its going according to plan.

We matched up again, this time Neptunes won 120-103.  Stevenson w/ 22pts, 6r, 3assist.   Jamison 21p, 3r, 3stl.  I lost Aldridge for 20 plus games a few games ago.

Yikes there's a massive cliff of a drop off after him though.
