TecmoSuperJoe
Brock Purdy's rookie card has sold for a record $186,000 (the highest for any 49ers player ever.) Quote (KRON) — Brock Purdy continues to set records on and off the football field. Aside from currently leading the NFL in touchdown passes (29) and passer rating (119), the San Francisco 49ers star quarterback set an off-the-field record this week. Purdy’s 2022 rookie card was sold for $186,000 at an auction Thursday night, according to trading card retailer PWCC. The price for the card was the highest for any 49ers player ever, beating out the cards of numerous legends of the Bay Area franchise. PWCC: Highest-Selling 49er Trading Cards Brock Purdy: $186,000 (2022 National Treasures Stars & Stripes RPA) Jerry Rice: $150,000 (1997 Metal Universe Green PMG) Trey Lance: $132,000 (2021 Panini Flawless Platinum Rookie) Steve Young: $120,000 (1986 Topps Football Rookie) Joe Montana: $114,000 (1981 Topps Football Rookie)

He can't even afford his own rookie card haha.
49ersfan
Just realized this is the 2nd time a lower drafted QB saved Shanny from a bad trade up for a QB First was trading a haul for RG3....only for Cousins to outperform him.

He and his dad got fired anyways/before Washington found out what they had in Kirk, so wouldn't count that as "saving" him

One, they didn't want the trade up. That was Snyder. Secondly, rg3 was legit for what they had him doing. In time he may have been a complete QB, but injuries, fubar situation
jonnguy2015
Well we can forget about the historic passer rating/ANY/A now
TecmoSuperJoe
One game against a historically tough opponent shouldn't change things, but there will be questions. When the team is behind, and the offensive support isn't in your favor, can he still show that he's at-worst making an epic last stand??? Didn't see that from Purdy against the Ravens. Saw it against the Bengals I'd say.
jonnguy2015
Most passing yards in a season for a 49ers QB: 1. Garcia 2000- 4278 2. Young 1998- 4170 3. Purdy 2023- 4050 4. Young 1993- 4023
