Raleigh

OFFENSIVE GAME PLAN
Riding a 4 game winning streak, Russell Wilson seems tired and needs a little nap, so rookie sensation Bryce Young gets his BDL debut. The offensive game plan will be to spread Singapore out to force them to gay their severely banged up secondary on the field and then allow my offensive line and Christian McCaffrey take over. Leaning on the run game and short passing game and then stress their beat up secondary with play action and RPO’s will allow us to consistently move the ball. The passing game matchup we really like will be Andrews and Michael Thomas vs the slot defenders and safeties for Singapore. We also want to spread out McCaffrey in the passing game as Singapore come down to stop the run.

We also will mix in a lot of 2 RB sets with Chuba Hubbard and taking Atwell off the field. This will help us control the game with the run and get more creative with McCaffrey as a WR.

DEFENSIVE GAME PLAN

 Cover 2 zone heavy .

Adams and Devonta are going to cause problems for our secondary but by taking away short throws and attacking the weak Singapore offensive line to harass Cousins into mistakes and get sacks. My defensive line and LB’s are all strong run defenders so we feel good about stopping Singapore running game. We want to force Cousins to drop back too much and hold the ball longer than he wants to cause chaos before he can get the ball deeper to Adams and Smith. A heavy rotation on the D-line brining in Johnson, Graham and Milton Williams (who is after revenge after being cast aside so casually by Singapore) can help us control the LOS all game. With Carter out, on pass rush downs I’ll bring on Graham to kick inside or Jermaine Johnson and kick Sweat inside to attack Singapore’s IOL

Iknow who won this game regardless of outcome

Singapore Sentinels

Motivation: The Raleigh Firebirds are the hottest team in the BDL. We look to end their winning streak this week at the Watchtower versus DangeRuss or Bryce.  With Jalen Carter out this week Cousins should have more time to hit his open targets.

Defensive Strategy

Formation:  4-3 “Under” / 2-4-5 Big Nickel

DL - Keanu Benton is going to line up over the Center and attack the A Gap between their C-RG, forcing a double team while applying pressure on DangeRuss. Grady Jarrett is our 3-tech inside and will look to collapse the pocket and force errant throws.  Arik Armstead will compound the overload of the Left side against Mailata. Uchenna Nwosu will take on the weaker Fant this week. Arden Key and Lorenzo Carter will play key roles in keeping the pressure high.  Being able to substitute players and see minimal difference in the unit itself is something other teams wish they had. Zach Allen and Maliek Collins provide help to keep the big guys up front fresh as well to help in run defense needed this week against McCaffrey.

LB - Greenlaw has the speed and agility to make things more difficult for Raleigh’s passing game while also being able to chase down McCaffrey in the flat.. Ellis will be the man in the middle directing traffic and clogging up lanes. Leonard Floyd will be on the LOS and look to push McCaffrey back inside to our big guys. Bentley is our do it all backup that can fill any of the starting roles

Secondary - Cover 1 Man Hybrid

Charvarius Ward is our top coverage guy and he will look to take out Sutton this week..We added a veteran in Darius Slay and he should provide insight into the Firebirds offense from the sideline this week. Slay will coach up Levi Wallace this week as he takes over our other boundary slot. Isaiah Oliver is now slotted into his natural position at nickelback and will get to test himself this week against Tutu. Our Dime Backer this week is Damarri Mathis to cover Slayton or Johnston.

Jabrill Peppers continues this week as the single High Safety. Underneath, Ryan Neal will be taking on the task of covering Andrews.  He can be disruptive near the line of scrimmage, using his aggressive mindset to make plays. Edmunds provides depth if the guys need it.

Coverage Assignments:

  • ·        Courtland Sutton. / “Mooney” Ward - CB

  • ·        Michael Thomas / Levi Wallace  - CB

  •          Tutu Atwell  / Isaiah Oliver - CB

  • ·        Mark Andrews / Ryan Neal - S

  •         Christian McCaffrey / Dre Greenlaw - LB

  •          Johnston or Slayton  / Damarri Mathis - CB

Offensive Strategy

Scheme:  Pass (50%) vs Run (50%)

Formations:   3 WR (40%)/ 2RB (35%)/ 2 TE (25%)

Our primary formation will be 11 personnel this week. Raleigh is missing a lot of their CBs so we will look to exploit that this week by spreading things out and using a quick passing offense to get the ball out of Cousins hands. We are just wanting to let Cousins control the clock and move the chains with what their defense gives him.

OL - With Jalen Carter out the middle is wide open to pound that rock. We look to use our leverage inside to let Dillon hammer the DL and tire their guys out. Grind out a win in the second half.

Passing - Arguably one of the best WR corps in the league again gets a depleted secondary to pick apart. Adams and Smith will again likely garner single coverage so we are looking to isolate them against the Firebirda CBs. Adams will be running a search route allowing him to adjust to the coverage, DeVonta Smith will stretch the field and look for some big deep plays. Jakobi Meyers will be our third weapon this week and we are looking to get him in motion a lot to give Cousins time to read they defense and determine Man or Zone. Jerry Jeudy will come in for the 4 WR looks.

Sam LaPorta keeps our top TE spot even though he is banged up because he is is a tough sum b*tch. He’ll have an important role in chip blocking Hunter before releasing into the flat to be an outlet for Cousins. Waller and Jonnu Smith come in to keep our TEs fresh in 12 formations.

Rushing - Kyren Williams will start this week but we plan on using all of our guys in situational football. You will see more 2RB sets this week with Dillon and Jacobs used at upbacks to open up holes for Williams and Cook. We are looking to get a lead and then grind it out in the second half. Dillon will get his best looks up the gut against a worn out DL, a role he has excelled at this season. Josh Jacobs and James Cook fill in as a depth this week.

Singapore covering my best player with an inactive player. Bold move

Is it Greenlaw? Bentley can slide into his spot. I had a very busy morning at work.

He should be fine for the 3/4 of the game your best player lasted.

The matchup here is the Singapore offense versus the Raleigh defense. The Raleigh corner group is lacking against these weapons but Raleigh picked the right type of coverage for what Singapore is wanting to do. It’s just a matter of talent over scheme or vice versa when deciding that aspect of this matchup.

Singapore blindsided by the Firebirds spreading them out to force them to be gay. They will never recover or be able to sit comfortably again.

Raleigh by a million

We're Sentinels. We stand.

My weak Offensive line has only given up 4 total sacks though 6 games. They also average over 325lbs per player which lb. for lb.  is one of the largest in the league. Good luck with that.
