  • Ross may be a nonfactor but that has not been shown. The Chiefs pride themselves on player development
  • Taylor may be set because we cannot eat his contract but that is the only reason. We still need a high-level pick at OT and this is a good year for it.
  • Wanya until further notice. This we at least have information about.
  • Omenihu is known to be out until November at the earliest. We need another DE. Are you saying it should be FAU?
  • Rice, Brown, Watson is all we need at this juncture. Toney's issues have little to do with his ability. What do you mean a physical guy is missing? That's why Watson plays so much.

Long term the biggest need is TE. There is never enough DL or OL. They will be on the board every year.

-He has been a non factor, that’s exactly what has been shown. Again, last year was his opportunity to show ANYTHING.  I want the guy to hit so bad…but he hasn’t.  I’d still dump Toney before him based on attitude, but that’s about where it ends for me.

- Like it or not Taylor is far and away our best tackle. He’s starting somewhere. Even if Wanya starts opposite, we need depth, and both likely could be upgraded. Relatively real chance we move on from Taylor after the season without significant improvement. OT is a top need.

WR - anyone taken in round 1/2 is an instant upgrade to anyone not named Brown Rice.  Brown is just visiting currently and next year he’s gone because he didn’t succeed or gone because he did. WR as you ALWAYS say don’t succeed year one, it’s an exceptional class.  WR should be taken if the first 2 rounds.

DL/IOL/DB - If we love a guy we’ll take him.  I think there’s more than smoke to our liking the kid from Mizzou.

Has been and is are not the same thing. You said is before and it's too early for that.
I will have to see proof that Taylor is our best tackle
Instant upgrade at WR is flatly false. An eventual upgrade is a maybe.
If you mean DL Darius Robinson, I agree with you. He might be moving into the late first round.

Trade of #1's nets KC an extra  pick in the 1st 2 rounds.

42. Cooper Bebee, OG/OT, Kan.State; Stud OG who can play OT in a pinch.

59. Ruke Orhorhoro, DT,Clemson; great  pickup for the Dline

64. Roman Wilson, WR, Michigan; quality WR add on; should play 1st.yr.

95. Roger Rosengarten, OT, Washington; Excellent OT who is probably a 2nd.rd. pick

First an auto draft. This is what using default team needs would get you. I am not a Franklin fan this high, but it's not horrible.

32: WR Troy Franklin - Oregon
64: Edge Adisa Isaac - Penn St
95: LB Cedric Gray - UNC
131: OT Christian Jones - Texas
159: G Brandon Coleman - TCU
173: S Malik Mustapha - Wake Forest

Same settings with choice and a trade--#32 for #35, #162, and #186.

35: OT Kingsley Suamataia - BYU
64: TE Ja'Tavion Sanders - Texas
95: WR Malachi Corley - Western Kentucky
131: RB Audric Estime - Notre Dame
159: G Layden Robinson - Texas A&M
162: EDGE Brennan Jackson - Washington St
173: LB Curtis Jacobs - Penn St

Now you know, I love me some Malachi Corley.

Corley won't last to pick 95. That's a dream

That's the nature of mock drafts. Someone always slides.

The question is whether you are stuck in your positional priorities or not. You don't get a sliding Corley if you grabe Worthy at #32 (he was available).

I'm inclined to trade up for one of the better quality OT's. Mahomes deserves it.

Here is how ridiculous these things can get.

32 - EDGE Chop Robinson - Penn State
64 - WR Keon Coleman - Florida State
95 - OC Zach Frazier - West Virginia
132 - OT Roger Rosengarten - Washington

I’d take this

Corley is one of the reasons I think trading up for Xavier Worthy makes zero sense. I might prefer Xavier Leggette.

Different players. Leggette is a big bodied dude, Corley is more of a Tyreek, short and stout, obviously his speed don’t match with the Cheetah but 4.45 is not slow, and he has similar lateral quickness.  There’s a reason they call him the RAC God.

24. J.C.Latham, OT, Alabama; trade up to get him; Road Grader and massive Mahomes protector.

64. Xavier Legette, WR, S.Carolina; big bodied WR; clustered with Ja'Lynn Polk, Roman Wilson, Ricky Pearsall

95. Brandon Coleman, OG, TCU; Fine OL replacement. May replace LG

131. Cedric Johnson, Edge, Mississippi; Need DL help

159. Gabe Hall, DT, Baylor; again, need DL help

173. Jared Wiley, TE, TCU; TE getting thinner

That about covers it!
