Before the season, this looked like a premium matchup. Neither team has lived up to expectations. I vote for getting the win and making the final game irrelevant. Last week the Raiders played a lot of 5-2-4 defense. Not a lot of room to run as shown by Pacheco's 2.4ypc and Clyde's 1.5ypc. On top of that, only 4 of Pat's 27 completions were beyond 5 yards. I've criticized Mecole of not being able to track the deeper passes but I do wonder if he would take the top off of a Defense better than MVS at this point. I’m hopeful we put Mecole into MVS’ role and maybe Pat will have more trust and throw downfield a little more (more than 5yds).
