Compared to the other athletic TE prospects last two years: slightly below average, but not by a lot on 40 time and 10 yard shuttle. Best vertical. 2nd best broad. Better than average on 3 cone and 20 yard shuttle.

Sammis Reyes still owns them all.

Love this pick. MAJOR Chris Cooley vibes. Guy is fast, strong has adequate size and showed he could produce in college.

Will be interesting to see how they employ him in the offense. I assume H-Back/2nd TE to start and see if he can overtake Ertz with time.

Cooley with more height & athleticism.

Oh really? I guess he lost weight when he played for us.

262 and 265 are the varied results on his combine weight. He definitely didn’t play at that weight for you guys as you said.

Just shows you how much the TE position has changed in the last 20 years. I'm sure Cooley added weight to show teams he could be a good blocker at the combine & personal workouts.

Fast forward 15-20 years and there's more passing in the NFL w/ TEs doing less in-line blocking and TEs lining up more like big slot WRs a lot so most TEs don't weigh much over 250 unless they're 6’6 or taller.

https://fanrecap.com/ben-sinnott-reacts-to-being-compared-to-49ers-top-tight-ends/?e_md5=94335fbf987cb77a19dbff1c2305d048&e_sha1=1e7cd03da1d4393993658ea0e10e113e9bc1824f&e_sha256=76406316b2034ef7cc9f40f04f8b84e0792debe356e0766e53610d69579d01e8

“In a strategic move that has drawn attention across the NFL, the Washington Commanders made the bold decision to bring on board Kansas State’s tight end, Ben Sinnott, by picking him 53rd overall in the 2024 NFL Draft. His selection has elicited comparisons from NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah to two standout San Francisco 49ers players: the versatile fullback Kyle Juszczyk and the dynamic tight end George Kittle. The Commanders’ General Manager, Adam Peters, echoed this sentiment following the draft’s second day, highlighting Sinnott’s potential to revolutionize their gameplay.

The consensus among analysts and football aficionados is that Sinnott embodies a hybrid of Juszczyk’s and Kittle’s playing styles, combining their best attributes. While it might be premature to place Sinnott on the same pedestal, his physical build and athleticism indeed suggest he could follow in their footsteps. Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 250 pounds, Sinnott’s combine results mirror those of Kittle, though he showcases a faster vertical leap, adding another layer to his appeal.

Expressing his thoughts on the comparisons, Sinnott revealed his astonishment and appreciation during an interview with “Grant and Danny” on 106.7 The Fan. He finds the trust vested in him by the Commanders’ coaching staff and management to be a source of inspiration and confidence as he steps into the NFL.

Sinnott, who hails from Iowa much like Kittle, perceives the parallels drawn between him and the NFL stars as an accurate reflection of his football persona. He prides himself on his adaptability, capable of making significant plays as a tight end or flexing into a fullback role, thereby bringing a coveted versatility to the Commanders’ offensive lineup.”
