2024 Round 2, Pick 53: TE, Ben Sinnott, Kansas State

Recommended Posts

He’s not Brock Bowers.

That being said, he’s going to be a dude at this level I think.  He does it all very well, which I think kinda takes him down a couple spots because people like to focus on the “big thing” at the draft and he’s the well-rounded prospect, meaning the floor is very high.  I also think he’s got a good ceiling too.

I’m finally glad we are investing high draft capital in this position.  The modern TE is something we have been lacking for a while, besides the one good season from Logan Thomas.

Love this pick. We got our next Cooley & he may be better than Cooley in time bc he's more athletic and bigger so he should be a better blocker too.

And Cooley didn't have much speed-kinda slow actually at 4.85. Sinnott is 4.68, a tad faster. I will say, Cooley sure looked faster- he could get open well enough .

He ran great routes & killed them with moves & slowness. 😂

When he got the ball in hands trying to tackle Cooley was like trying to tackle a FB/big RB in the open field.

Sinnott has that same kind of open-field running ability & if can't go around you, he's running over you.

Love this pick. MAJOR Chris Cooley vibes. Guy is fast, strong has adequate size and showed he could produce in college.

Will be interesting to see how they employ him in the offense. I assume H-Back/2nd TE to start and see if he can overtake Ertz with time.

Compared to the other athletic TE prospects last two years: slightly below average, but not by a lot on 40 time and 10 yard shuttle. Best vertical. 2nd best broad. Better than average on 3 cone and 20 yard shuttle.
