Solid signing and if he comes close to being a solid no.1 WR and plays well enough to earn a second contract, good. If he bombs out and gets injured again, oh well 1 year deal flier where the ravens *needed* to add WR talent. Odell rebounding after spending 2 years recovering from a torn ACL wouldn't surprise me but that's entirely up to Lamar and the OC.

Using the same weapons over and over gets old real quick in terms of combat, oh no my weapon broke because it's condition is low better go spend money to repair it got old so quick, the player is stuck with the same 2-3 weapons they like over the course of the game instead of mixing up their playstyle. BOTW's implementation allowed you to use different things in combat, runes, physics, explosives etc. Your weapons changing/breaking was a massive part of that. I like the idea behind the design but having your weapon break during combat after like *30 hits* was dumb. Bows were whatever cause strings can break and there were special bows that were OP as heck so fair enough. I think allowing you to make your favorite weapon fairly easily again is a good compromise.

If he sat out this last year he's still gonna have to play out his 5th year option with the ravens. Same with the franchise tag, oh no he sat out a year and forced the ravens to franchise him again at the same non exclusive tag. .......This doesn't hold up because getting injured is legitimately part of the being in the NFL. Guys get injured that is part of the job. Players bet on themselves in a contract year, it didn't work out, take the 180-ish million guaranteed or a 3 year fully guaranteed contract and bet on yourself. Almost like running QBs playing well into their 30s because being a good starting QB for a decade+ in the NFL let alone as one who uses their legs more.

Yeah he's playing this year since he needs to play well to earn a contract from either the ravens or insert trade team here. The rest of that is pure nonsense.
