Armsteeld2
Intimidator. Big hitter. Solid tackler. High football IQ. Passionate player. Has average speed and wil possibly be the Dime LB or even bulk up to full time MLB. Aggressive downhill thumper who attacks rather than waiting on the ball carrier. I love this Pick due to the fact of one layer gets hurt, it affects the scheme. Well now you have 3 or 4 guys who all can play the same role. Very very smart football by the Steelers! jebrick
This is the only pick I hate
Armsteeld2
I remember wanting him in the 2nd round due to his run stopping ability. To get him in the 5th, even though you took a Safety in the 1st is such low risk. He immediately makes your ST unit better.
steelcurtain29
Not a fan at all. Seems like he's not athletic and can't cover well. Seems like a slower, but less dirty Mike Mitchell.
Armsteeld2
Marcus Allen 6-2 215 4.60 in the 40 yard dash, 1.57 in the 10, and 2.67 in the 20. Vertical jump was 37”, Broad Jump was 10’07”, 20 yard shuttle was 4.32, and 3 come was 7.13 seconds. Derwin James ran a 1.50 10 yard split but had more deep speed. Allen is explosive but seems more of a one speed guy.
VigilantZombie
Let's be clear about this Marcus Allen was not taken to play safety for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He will be a linebacker he offers its Vero ability and coverage

VigilantZombie
Sadly I completely agree I just don't see how we really got all that much better
Magnus-Viktor
Never saw anything good out of him. He passed the eyeball test but never actually did anything when I watched games. He better be able to transition to LB.
3rivers
when has there been a safety in NCAA convert to LB in NFL as a rookie ( or non rookie ) in the last few years ? There is a risk involved, and I can't expect the rookie to play much

3rivers
If this works, it could be similar speed to Shazier which is good as the D needs speed. It will come down to his reaction skills inside.
jebrick
I think this is a special teams pick. It is how he makes the team.

Unofficial 4.36 pro day. Typically a tenth of a second faster than laser timed combine times.
