I used to have a hard tail bike and while it is definitely fun and brings it's own challenges, the dual suspension is just amazing to ride with. So much smoother, and I can hit 8 foot drops onto slight sloped surfaces with no problem at all. The 29 inch wheels also make conquering the many obstacles trails have much easier as well. True. But I do live like 800 miles from any immediate family member, and like 200 from any whatsoever. So that counts as something, right?
